Western Yunnan Anti-Japanese War Memorial Hall

Chinese soldiers who died in the Anti-Japanese War are buried here. People who come here mourn not only the dead, but also a tragic history. The cemetery was completed in 1945 and consists of a memorial tower and a martyrs' tomb. The names, place of origin, military rank, and positions of the fallen soldiers are engraved on the monument. They were the first to recapture Tengchong. The Martyrs' Temple in the cemetery is an ancient ancestral hall-style building. There are several stone tablets and historical photos inside, recording that sad history.

Yunfeng Mountain

Yunfeng Mountain is located in Ruidian Township, more than 50 kilometers northwest of Tengchong County. Seen from a distance, it looks like a jade bamboo shoot standing straight into the sky. Because its waist is often shrouded in clouds and mist, it is named "Yunfeng Mountain".

Yunfeng Mountain is famous for its "high mountains, deep valleys, steep and steep mountains". There are more than 1,000 "three-fold ladders" on the mountain leading directly to the top of the mountain. The 43 stone steps at the steepest point are almost vertical and less than a foot wide. On both sides is a dazzling abyss.

Visitors need to face the cliff and walk on the iron chain. Yunfeng Temple is built on the top of a two-acre mountain. It has Ming Dynasty buildings such as Huangyu Pavilion, Laoqun Hall, and Guanyin Hall. Standing at Tianmen, you can see the snowy peaks of Gaoligong Mountain in the distance. The surrounding mountains are lush and picturesque in spring. The scenery is extremely beautiful and spectacular. There are Yuhuang Pavilion, Sanqing Pavilion and Luzu Hall on the top of the mountain; there are imperial temples on the mountainside; and at the bottom of the mountain are Wanfu Temple and Jieyin Temple, both of which were built during the Wanli and Chongzhen years of the Ming Dynasty. Huangyu Pavilion, Sanqing Pavilion and Luzu Hall on the top of the mountain are the most unique and dangerous buildings. They are all built on the rocks on the top of the mountain, with flying eaves and walls, which are unique. They are called "Heavenly King's Mansion" and "Heavenly Immortal Capital".

The "Three-fold Ladder" between the cliffs is known as the first of the twelve scenic spots in Tengchong. Yunfeng Mountain Taoist Temple is not only a model among many temples in Tengchong in dealing with multi-level space combinations and plane distance levels, but also the crystallization of China's unique Feng Shui theory. It is worthy of being a famous mountain and ancient temple. With the development of tourism, Yunfeng Mountain has been equipped with a high-altitude cable car, making it very convenient to visit.
