1. It takes about 4 hours to walk from the North Peak of Huashan Mountain to the East Peak.
2. Attractions along the way from Beifeng to Dongfeng:
1. Beifeng is the shortest of the five peaks in Huashan and is independent of other peaks. But the geographical location of the North Peak is extremely important and is the only way to other peaks. There is a famous scenic spot on Beifeng: Sword on Huashan Mountain (inscribed by Jin Yong). Tourists who have watched Jin Yong's "The Legend of the Condor Heroes" discuss the sword in Mount Huashan.
2. Huashan Ladder to Heaven. This is a steep staircase, about 10 meters long, next to the Yar Cliff.
3. Heilong Ridge. This is a sign of danger in Huashan, and it is like a dragon's backbone rushing straight up.
There are only narrow stairs in the middle and steep cliffs on both sides. Fortunately, there are stone piles and iron chains on both sides, otherwise it would not be easy to have the courage to walk up.
4. Golden Lock Pass. It is called Tiantong Gate. Jinsuoguan passes through the throats of Dongfeng, Nanfeng and Xifeng. Therefore, Huashan is full of people who guard it, but ten thousand people cannot force it. At Jinsuo Pass, the temperature dropped sharply, so there is a saying that after passing Jinsuo Pass, it was another heavy day.
5. Middle peak. The middle peak, also known as Yunu Mountain, is slightly lower than the east, west and south peaks, with an altitude of 2042.5 meters.
6. Ladder. The Sky Ladder was built in 1984 and is a shortcut from the Middle Peak to the East Peak. The ladder is more than 10 meters high and is perpendicular to the ground at a 90-degree angle. The middle and upper parts protrude outward, as if falling off a cliff. There are three hanging ropes on the ladder. Visitors cannot approach the cliff by climbing the ropes, so they swing along the ropes, shaking their heads like clouds and mist, hence the name Ladder. Climbing the ladder requires good arm strength, because the cliff in the middle protrudes at more than 90 degrees, making it difficult to use your legs and feet. Climbing mainly relies on arm strength. If you don’t give up halfway, it will be more difficult to go back the same way, so you have to work hard to get to the top. However, there is a metal man-made staircase next to the ladder. If you feel you can do without the ladder, you can go up from there.
7. East wind. With an altitude of 2090 meters, it is one of the main peaks of Huashan Mountain and is named after its location in the east. There is a platform at the top of the peak, which is high and dangerous, with a wide view. It is a famous place to watch the sunrise and is called Chaoyang Peak, so the East Peak is also called Chaoyang Peak.
There are dozens of landscapes on the East Peak. There are natural stone patterns on the cliff on one side of the East Stone Tower Peak, like huge handprints. This is Huayue Zhangxian, which is listed as the first of the eight scenic spots in Guanzhong. The story of the giant spirit taking mountains and diverting rivers originated from this; there is Yanggong Building in Chaoyang District, opposite Yanggong Building in Xifeng District. It was built by General Yang Hucheng. On the tower, there is a word written by General Wanxiang Rosen Yang Hucheng. In addition, there are Qinglongtan, Ganlu Pond, Sanchong Cave, Qingxiu Cave, Bajing Palace, Tai Chi Dongyuan Gate, etc.
