Huanglong Cave in Hangzhou

I have lived less than 2 kilometers away from Huanglong Cave for two years, but I didn’t know that Huanglong Cave was cave-free.

That afternoon, I was riding on Shuguang Road for errands. I passed by Zhejiang University, Zhejiang Library, and Huanglong Sports Center. On a whim, I decided to go to Huanglong, the iconic scenic spot here. Check out the hole.

In less than ten minutes, we arrived at No. 69, Shuguang Road.

I didn’t see the big cave entrance I imagined, but I saw a stone archway standing facing Shuguang Road. The stone couplet on the archway said: "No gate cave, shakuhachi flute, Yonganyuan, the scenic spots are vaguely visible." Old dreams; folk gardens, local operas, Changle Pavilion, "new trends in good times" are gorgeous, and the plaque reads - "Yellow Dragon Spits Green".

After passing the archway, there are two rows of tall plane trees on both sides of the road. Their thick and long branches stretch wildly into the sky, and the broad, pentagonal leaves on the branches are squeezed into a pile in a narrow and chaotic manner. , seems to want to compete with the sun above his head. But the sun was very calm, neither anxious nor annoyed. It smiled and projected the leaves of the sycamore tree onto the ground from a high place, forming a large and colorful picture.

As we walked deeper into the road, there were gradually more pavilions and pavilions on both sides. On a large stone hidden by green trees right in front, there is a big word - "Yuan" engraved on it.

I looked carefully at this large vermilion character and saw that it was beaming with joy, free and easy, graceful and graceful, and looked like it was about to fly!

"Fate" is a beautiful and mysterious word! Fate, marriage, chance, inadvertent encounter, destiny, chance in life, coincidence in fate, how many beautiful things are caused by it!

As I was thinking endlessly, I almost bumped into a wooden board in front of me. When I looked up, I saw a black wooden board standing in front of a mountain gate with double eaves, on which were engraved four large gilded characters: "Seeking fate to win."

The couplets on both sides of the mountain gate read: "The Yellow River is endless, and I am still here."

It turns out that this Huanglong Cave is the Protector Renwang Zen Temple in Hangzhou. Since the Southern Song Dynasty, this place has been the West Lake. One of the five major dragon worship sites in the Shang Dynasty; it was changed to a Taoist temple in the late Qing Dynasty and became one of the "Three Avenue Temples in West Lake" in the late Qing Dynasty.

Most of the temples in Hangzhou are built among mountains and forests, so a mountain gate is usually built in front of the temple.

I thought: Maybe there will be a big cave inside the mountain gate.

Entering the mountain gate, there is a small pool on the left. In the middle of the pool, Liu Hai was playing with a toad enthusiastically.

Bangs playing with toads comes from a Taoist allusion. Some people say that Liu Hai was from Aguquan Happy Valley, Xi'anhu County, Shaanxi Province. When he was a boy, he went to the mountains to collect firewood. When he saw an injured three-legged toad on the roadside, he quickly bandaged the toad's wound and treated the toad. Toad then turned into a beautiful girl, married Liu Hai and had children.

Liu Hai’s wife not only has the beauty of a fairy, but can also spit out money and ingots from her mouth. I wonder what kind of virtue Liu Hai has accumulated in her previous life, and she has encountered such good things!

Some people say that Toad was originally the daughter of the Dragon King of the South China Sea, named Qiao Gu. While the Dragon King was out, she transformed into a golden toad and jumped out of the White Dragon Pond in the Peach Blossom Stream. When he was in the mood of traveling, he was stared at by a ferocious python. At the critical moment of life and death, Liu Hai, who was chopping firewood under Peach Blossom Peak, rescued the little toad. This time they came to the rescue, Qiaogu and Liu Hai admired and loved each other, and the two finally became friends with Qin and Jin. Qiaogu even gave Liu Hai a dragon ball as a gift!

Whether it is a three-legged toad or the daughter of the Dragon King of the South China Sea, in short, this bangs is considered good luck! No wonder some people say that two-legged people are easy to find, but three-legged toads are really hard to find!

I suddenly remembered that a few years ago, I went to a good friend's house and saw a stone toad placed in a secluded and safe place in the romantic and warm boudoir. That guy was covered in lumps and ugly. My friend saw that I was paying attention to that weird and scary animal and thought I was interested in it. He said to me with a smile: "That's my treasure. It attracts wealth, suppresses disasters and wards off evil spirits, isn't it a god?"

I thought of this. , I laughed to myself!

In the small stone gate on the right, there is a small courtyard, and there is also a pool in the courtyard called "Touyuan Pool".

In the middle of the pool, on a large stone plate with lotus leaves, six chubby boys were sitting. The boys were only wearing a small bellyband, and they formed a circle. At the same end, they were carrying five ancient stone coins.

These six boys respectively represent six kinds of fate: financial fate, love fate, marriage fate, literary fate, official fate and child fate. The buns on the heads of the six boys are all different, which must have something to say.

There are seven stone piers beside the pool, six of which are engraved with the six words "wealth, love, marriage, literature, officialdom, and son" respectively; there is also a stone pier without words, which represents Other conditions besides the above six conditions.

The square hole in the center of the ancient bronze coin is the "fortunate hole". People can choose the position according to their own wishes, recite silently in their mouths, and throw coins to hit it. If one of the three hits, it will be good luck.

There were three ladies throwing in counterfeit coins exchanged for real money, shouting and having a great time. The man on the side crossed his arms and waited idlely, looking so impatient!

Although the activity of coin tossing seems simple, it has a long history! However, ancient people did not call it "tossing coins", but "tossing pots".

It is said that during the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, the princes entertained guests at home and played the game of "pot throwing" to entertain themselves during banquets and drinks: put a pot in front and use an arrow to throw it from a distance. Only if you invest completely, those who lose will be fined to drink. At first I was shooting arrows, but later I found it inconvenient, so I changed to throwing arrows. Ouyang Xiu said in "The Drunkard's Pavilion": "Mountain delicacies and wild assemblies, mixed and presented in front of the table, are also the prefect's banquet. The joy of the banquet is neither silk nor bamboo. The one who shoots is in the middle, the one who plays chess wins, the one who drinks the chess and the chess and the others sit up and down." Those who are noisy are the guests." At the prefect's banquet here, the game of "throwing pots" is played; the "shooting" in it refers to shooting arrows.

Next door to "Touyuan Pond" is also a courtyard, but it is a theater called "Xiyuan".

This is an antique courtyard. The courtyard is surrounded by quaint small buildings such as Qingyin Pavilion, Xingyun Pavilion, Yihe Pavilion, Qiheqi, Wenyuan Pavilion and so on. They are scattered high and low, with homogeneous wooden stairs. Connected to the promenade. The yard was decorated with lanterns and streamers everywhere, and the sky was full of joy.

The large stage facing the courtyard gate is modeled on the model of Jiangnan Liyuan. Many uniformed staff are busy adding stools under the stage. It seems that the Huanglong Yue Opera Troupe will have another stage like this. Good plays like "Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai" or "Tang Bo Hu Spots Autumn Fragrance" were staged.

Exit the Jubilee Garden, return to the main road, and go forward until you see the second gate.

Step into the second door, and on the left is the Fangzhu Garden.

The bronze statue of "Huanglong Boy" in the garden is quite eye-catching. The two children in the circle are lying when viewed from the front, and the two are squatting when viewed from the side. In this way, four children appear in the statue. These four boys symbolize the prosperity and healthy growth of the dragon's descendants. The four boys all had their hands clasped together, and their humility and piety were so vivid!

It is said that stroking the buttocks of children is effective in praying for children. The buttocks of the children are all smooth and shiny after being touched.

Looking at this child statue, I am reminded of this saying that people often say - there are two banks of the river, and there are two sides to everything. God closes a door for you and opens a window for you. Sometimes, if you look at things from another angle, life will show a different beauty. Perhaps, there is no lack of beauty in life, but a lack of courage, exploration and discovery.

There are many bamboos in the Fangzhu Garden.

The spots on the leaves of the mottled bamboo are the tears of sadness and longing shed by Ehuang and Nvying, the two concubines who were separated from Emperor Shun. - "A branch of mottled bamboo drops a thousand tears", This is absolutely true!

The purple bamboo pole of Zizhu is very tall. The young green poles are still covered with a layer of fine hairs and white powder, while the bamboo poles of the large bamboos have all turned purple-black and are almost ten meters tall.

The bamboo poles of Qinsizhu are yellow and green. In addition to ordinary bamboo leaves, long filaments also grow on the branches. When the breeze blows, the bamboo threads dance with the wind, like rhythmic strings. The gesture is so elegant and charming!

The thin bamboo pole of the Phoenix Tail Bamboo carries a large crown. From a distance, it really doesn't look like bamboo, but rather like a shrub. When you look closer, the densely packed, thin and pointed leaves on the crown are clearly bamboo leaves! I really don’t know how such a thin tree trunk can hold up that big crown!

The strangest and most precious thing is the square bamboo. Looking at the round bamboo pole, it feels square to the touch. It turns out that the blunt, rounded, square-shaped bamboo pole looks different from what it feels like. Chinese people often say "seeing is believing", and foreigners also say "seeing is believing"; it seems that things that seem to be the truth must be viewed according to local conditions.

"Be straight inside and direct outside" means being upright in heart and upright in doing things. The ancient Chinese have always regarded it as a plot. "Yi Kun" said: "A gentleman respects the straight inside and righteousness." Square and outside.”

Fangzhu seems to have this kind of character of “straight inside and square outside”. Literati and celebrities in the Song Dynasty loved to recite square bamboo. Liu Xueji said: "The knot is standing in a lonely and quiet place, and the body is straight and respectful." Said: "The edge is sharp on all sides, and the integrity is strong throughout life."

Zhang Yong, a famous official in the Northern Song Dynasty, was clean and self-sufficient throughout his life and was honest in government. He spoke highly of Fangzhu; Jie Lingshuang is even more pitiful. How can he not be like Zhuzhixian in order to repay the evil deeds in the world?

The branches are straight and green, and the forest leaves are sparse and red. But I am afraid that in the Dharma time, I will be evil and round and sycophant, and my roots will be as deep as Chu Yun. ”

In Huanglong Park, there are many other varieties of bamboo: moso bamboo, four-season bamboo, and filial bamboo. There are more than 30 kinds of bamboo, which is dazzling!

I am very People like to look at bamboos, but most people come to Yue Lao Temple in front of Fangzhu Garden.

The Yue Lao in the center of the temple is holding a "marriage certificate" and looks very kind. A good matchmaker!

The old man under the moon in Huanglong Cave has particularly powerful powers. There are eight divination bottles in front of him, and people can tell about marriage, love, children, fortune, longevity, literature, and officialdom. The old man is also very knowledgeable in divination for eight aspects of wealth and fortune. If he draws a fortune like "harmonious curtain curtain, pray to the gods, and have beautiful hair in the coming year", it will be easy to say. It’s really sad that the call boy can’t sweep it away, but it has just been swept away by the sun, but it asks the bright moon to send you to the future.” Or it’s like “the setting clouds and the solitary swans fly together, the autumn water is the same color as the sky.” Those who interpret the signatures are disgraceful. Even Master Jin Yong said: "The signatures of Old Man Yuexia in Hangzhou are probably unmatched by any temple in the country. They are not only elegant, but also humorous. They are all collected from scriptures and famous poems... .."

I have great respect for this knowledgeable old man Yuexia. I clasped my hands together and silently made a wish in my heart: "Old man Yuexia, you can not only look through the marriage book under the moon, but also use red The rope ties the feet of men and women and determines the marriage for the next life. Then please bless all families in the world to be prosperous, harmonious and beautiful! ”

On the walls of the temple, there are two murals. The one on the left is the story of Tang Bohu’s three-smile marriage. Tang Bohu, the first of the four great talents in the south of the Yangtze River in the Ming Dynasty, was handsome and resourceful. He was the wife of Hua Tai I was attracted by the smile of Qiuxiang, the maid in the master's house; so I spent a lot of effort to marry Qiuxiang, who is as beautiful as a fairy. Hard work pays off, even an iron pestle can be ground into a needle! It is the story of Guo Yuanzhen, the number one scholar in the Tang Dynasty, who chose the prime minister's daughter as his wife. Guo Yuanzhen asked his daughters to each take a red silk thread, and Guo Yuanzhen took the third one and married the third daughter. This story probably also explains the ancient saying that "marriage is destined by heaven". I guess that means what I said.

When I left Yuelao Temple, I saw a big yellow dragon head sticking out from the opposite rock wall, with its teeth grinning, its eyes wide open, its horns upright, and its beard growing. It spat out clear and refreshing water from its mouth. The water fell behind the rocks and emerged from the cracks in the rocks one by one, falling into the pool below.

According to legend, in the seventh year of Chunyou in the Southern Song Dynasty ( In 1247, there was a severe drought in Hangzhou. Emperor Lizong of the Song Dynasty invited Zen Master Huikai from Huanglong Mountain in Jiangxi Province to pray for rain. One day, there was a sudden thunder, and a stone behind the mountain cracked like a dragon's mouth, and people thought it was Huanglong Sui. Huikai came to relieve the drought, so he called this place "Huanglong Cave". The emperor gave Huikai the title of Buddha Eye Zen Master and the Dragon God as the Lingji Hou. Gate, the "Wumen Cave" in the couplet on the archway in front of the garden refers to Zen Master Huikai, so Huanglong Cave is also called "Wumen Cave".

On the side of a stone peak next to the pool, facing the dragon head. It is engraved with "The water is not deep", and the other side is engraved with "If there is a dragon, then there is a spirit".

The round edge platform is on a hillside, and a large concentric lock hangs high in the center of the platform. With a diameter of 5 meters, it is the largest copper lock in China so far. The copper lock has a pattern of the word "Yuan" with many red threads extending from both sides. A pair of young people are making concentric locks on one thread. The red threads are like Thousands of small and unique concentric locks have already been tied.

It would be a pity not to make good use of such a large platform. People hold weddings and marriage ceremonies here. People who get married here. , and also established a good style of simplicity in weddings.

On one side of the Yuan Yuan Terrace, there is the "Wong Tai Sin Cave". The couplets on both sides of the cave read: "The wind of the bridge leaves the yellow stone; the ancient cave is protected by the deep clouds." "Simple calligraphy." A mere fourteen characters tell the story of Huang Daxian and Zhang Liang, who was waiting in the Western Han Dynasty.

When Zhang Liang fled to Xiapi, he met an old man (Huang Shigong) on ??the bridge. He dropped his shoes under the bridge and asked Zhang Liang to pick them up and put them on for him. Zhang Liang did so. The old man made an appointment to meet Zhang Liang on the bridge. The old man suspected that Zhang Liang arrived later than him. The third time, Zhang Liang arrived before midnight and passed the "Tai Gong Art of War" to Zhang Liang. Sometimes, the more humble a person is, the more things he will get.

Looking down from everywhere, you can see the green pines and bamboos in the garden, the deep winding paths, and the blending of mountains, rivers and rocks. It reminds you of the "Poem of Visiting Huanglong Cave" written by Zhang Dan, a Qiantang poet in the Qing Dynasty: "The side path turns around the mountain, and the sparse hedges close to the clear stream. The sweat flows beyond the stone level, and the color is cold while chewing the ice in the pond. There are countless dense bamboos and green trees, and several layers of dangerous pine trees. The sun is shining with snow on the eaves, and the clouds are netted with vines on the edge of the sill. It feels very appropriate to have a glimpse of the dragon lying in the deep valley and see the Buddha on the flying rock.

Not far from Huanglong Cave, there are Ziyun Cave and Jingu Cave. These three caves are collectively called " "Three Caves in Qixialing".

Seeing that it was getting late, I had to give up and wait to see another day.
