What annoying things have you encountered when traveling with a group in Thailand?

Thailand is a beautiful country. It should be a pleasure to travel here, but I chose to travel with a group, which made my trip very bad.

1. Shopping fraud

Tourists traveling abroad are often taken to "duty-free shops" for shopping. However, these stores are not all electrical stores or pharmacies run by some large local commercial companies. These "duty-free shops" employ a large number of employees from China, and the prices of goods are several times higher than those of regular shops. They also printed advertisements, exaggerating the effect of healthy food, to attract tourists from China to buy these windfall goods. Because many tour guides cooperate with these stores and share the profits of the things they buy, so don't buy a bunch of expensive and useless things when traveling with a group, which I regret.

Cheating at one's own expense

Travel agencies often offer so-called "low-cost tours", but in fact, when they arrive at their destinations, they will find that tour guides have to collect money wherever they go. After a few days, the money actually paid to travel agencies and tour guides may have exceeded the cost of signing up for a tour. Even if I calculate carefully, I can't compare with the travel agency.

3. Accommodation fraud

Travel agencies use labeling methods like "quasi-Samsung hotel", "unlisted Samsung hotel" and "equivalent to domestic standard Samsung" to obscure tourists, and there is a big gap between the hotels actually staying and Samsung hotels.

4. Travel fraud

Shortening the actual itinerary is the usual trick of travel agencies, such as "five nights and six days in Japan". Domestic travel agencies will not arrange flights that leave in the morning, but arrange flights that leave in the afternoon and arrive at the destination in the evening. After arriving at the airport, they will be taken directly to the hotel for rest. On the day of the return trip, the travel agency arranged more flights in the morning, and took tourists to airport hotel the night before, so I couldn't go out to play or go shopping that morning. The so-called "five nights and six days" is actually only four days.

To sum up the above four points, this trip made me very disappointed. When I meet these sad things, I will learn a lesson and never travel with a group again next time.
