What's the level of tourism in Guangdong?

Guangdong province has a developed economy, a large population, relatively rich urban and rural residents and strong travel ability. The geographical advantage of being adjacent to Hong Kong and Macao makes Guangdong a gateway for China's inbound and outbound tourism, and makes Guangdong have a special position in the national tourism industry, with a high level of tourism development. The number of tourists, tourism income, the number of star-rated hotels and other statistical indicators rank first in the country, and many indicators account for more than 20% of the country. It is a veritable tourist province in China (see Table 8- 1 for details).

Guangdong has good supporting conditions for tourism, basically forming supporting services for eating, living, traveling, traveling, shopping and entertainment. Guangdong cuisine, which is characterized by strong seafood and original flavor, has won the reputation of "eating in Guangzhou". A large number of high-end hotels such as Guangzhou Garden Hotel provide comfortable accommodation environment for tourists. New Baiyun Airport, Beijing-Guangzhou Railway, Beijing-Kowloon Railway, Wuhan-Guangzhou High-speed Railway and Cobweb expressway provide convenient transportation for tourism. A-level scenic spots featuring artificial landscapes and hot spring vacations make tourists linger; Shopping malls such as Beijing Road Pedestrian Street and Tianhe City Plaza are dazzling, and tourists from all walks of life are scrambling to buy them; Entertainment programs such as Cantonese Opera and Cantonese Opera in luxury theaters and nightclubs add a lot of color to the tourism industry.

By 2020, Guangdong will be built into an international high-level tourist destination that radiates South China, serves the whole country, affects the Asia-Pacific region and faces the world. Cultivate the Pearl River Delta, northern Guangdong, eastern Guangdong and western Guangdong into four tourist areas with their own characteristics and mutual echo. Among them, the Pearl River Delta will become an Asia-Pacific tourism destination, fully integrate with international tourism, strengthen tourism cooperation between Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, and focus on developing six major tourism products, including business tour, exhibition tour, food tour, golf tour, theme park tour and ancient city new rhyme tour; Guangdong Landscape Grand View Garden will be built in northern Guangdong, with Shaoguan and Qingyuan as the center and "Castle Peak, Hot Springs, Customs and Buddhist Rhyme" as the theme, focusing on the development of eco-tourism, "Folk Tour" and folk culture tourism represented by Danxia Mountain, ethnic customs and hot springs; Eastern Guangdong will highlight the "two circles and one belt", namely Chaoshan cultural circle, Hakka cultural circle and mountain and sea tourism belt, highlight the advantages of cultural tourism and enhance the tourist attraction of Hakka and Chaoshan culture; Western Guangdong develops the Maritime Silk Road, focusing on seaside and hot spring tourism, and strengthening its alliance with Hainan, Vietnam and Guangxi.
