Service life of non-operating buses (including cars and off-road vehicles) with 9 seats or less 15 years; If it is required to continue to be used after reaching the scrapping standard, it does not need approval. After passing the inspection, the service life can be extended and inspected twice a year; If it has been more than 20 years, it will be inspected regularly four times a year from 2 1 year. Service life of tourist buses and non-operating buses with more than 9 seats 10 year; The longest service life cannot exceed 10 years. The service life of operating buses is adjusted to 10 year, and the retirement life is delayed by no more than 4 years.

Operating vehicles are converted into non-operating vehicles, and non-operating vehicles are converted into operating vehicles, which shall be scrapped according to the specified service life (8 years) of operating vehicles.

Service life of "taxi": 10 year; Life extension: 5 years; Compulsory retirement age: 15 years.

Service life of "tourist passenger transport": 10 year; Life extension: 10 year; Compulsory retirement period: 20 years.

How to handle the scrapping procedures?

After the vehicle has reached the retirement age, it shall go through the formalities of vehicle retirement at the traffic administrative department of the public security organ in time, bring the motor vehicle registration certificate, license plate, driving license and original vehicle, go to the motor vehicle recycling enterprise designated by the traffic administrative department of the public security organ, fill out the Application Form for Vehicle Registration, Stopping, Restarting/Cancellation, and the motor vehicle recycling enterprise will disassemble and confirm the motor vehicle, and issue the Certificate of Scrapped Motor Vehicle Recycling to the owner of the motor vehicle.

Motor vehicle recycling enterprises shall, within 7 days after the disintegration of motor vehicles, return copies of the Application Form for Suspension, Resumption/Cancellation of Motor Vehicle Registration, Motor Vehicle Registration Certificate, License Plate, Driving License and Certificate of Scrap Vehicle Recycling to dmv.

The vehicle management office will issue the Certificate of Motor Vehicle Cancellation to the owner, and then the vehicle will take charge of the Certificate of Motor Vehicle Cancellation to handle other vehicle-related procedures such as road maintenance fees, and the scrapping procedures will be completed.

According to the regulations implemented by the Ministry of Public Security on July 1 2007, after the motor vehicle is scrapped, the owner of the motor vehicle can apply to continue using the original motor vehicle license plate number according to the regulations.
