The name of the bridge refers to the land of China. An inch of gold means not allowing foreign enemies to occupy it, in order to commemorate the local people's anti-French struggle in 1898. The rebuilt Cunjin Bridge is a single-hole stone bridge with cement pavement, 19 meters long and 12 meters wide, with 18 railings on both sides. A monument is erected at the west end of the bridge to record the story of the anti-French struggle. In February 1964, Dong Biwu, leader of the central government, came to Zhan and wrote a poem for the bridge: "Unwilling to surrender to partition, the anti-French people formed a rebel army. Huang Lue and Ma Zhang all created enemies, and the golden bridge separated the free clouds." Guo Moruo also had "Every inch of river and mountain is an inch of gold." of poetry. In July 1986, the Zhanjiang Municipal People's Government rebuilt the Cunjin Bridge. The width of the bridge was expanded to 22 meters and the length was extended to 24 meters.
