Handan Airport is a civil airport in Handan City, Hebei Province, China. It was opened to the public at 0: 00 on August 2, 2007 and officially set sail on August 8, 2007. Handan Airport, a construction project approved by the former State Planning Commission of China, is located in Matou Town, eleven kilometers southwest of Handan City. The airport covers a total area of more than 2,000 mu and is built according to Class III C airport standards. It can take off and land Boeing 737 series, Airbus A3 19, A320 and other medium-sized passenger planes. With a total investment of nearly 200 million yuan, construction started in June 2004 and the construction task was completed in early 2007.
