Two-day self-driving tour around Chengdu

Chengdu is a charming and distinctive city with many exciting tourist attractions. Everything in Chengdu is full of fantasy, giving people a fresh and refined feeling. There are also many interesting attractions around Chengdu. I will give you detailed recommendations below.

Address: Menghuo is located in Liziping Township, Shimian County, Ya'an City, Sichuan Province. Yele Lake is located in Yele Township, Mianning County, Sichuan Province, with an altitude of more than 2,000 meters.

Day 1: Chengdu - Ya'an Liziping - Menghuocheng Village

Currently, except for cars or chartered cars, there is no other way to directly reach Menghuo City. It takes about 4 hours to drive from Chengdu to Menghuo, and the road conditions along the way to Liziping Expressway are very good. On the left is the branch road leading to Menghuo, and on the right is Yele Lake.

On the first day of our visit to Menghuo City, it took about 20 minutes to reach our accommodation, Shimian's Menghuo Anlan Inn. There are very few places to stay on the mountain, so I highly recommend this inn. The boss is very welcoming and the room is very clean. We had the Shimos buffet barbecue at his house for dinner, which was delicious.

It is a 10-minute drive from the inn to Menghuo City Scenic Area. Scenic spots currently do not require tickets, and some scenic spots are not open. The scenic sightseeing car costs 20 yuan including round trip, which is suitable for lazy people who don’t like walking.

Day two: Menghuo Yele Lake Chengdu

It is an hour’s drive from Menghuo to Yele Lake. The drive to the lake was truly magical. I didn’t expect that there is such a fairyland in the world, and Lugu Lake is nothing more than this! The lake water is sparkling and layer upon layer.

Note:

There is nothing to eat in Yele Lake in Menghuo, so you need to bring your own dry food. It is recommended to go to Yele Lake in the morning, it is more beautiful when there are clouds. The scenic spots in Menghuo city are not allowed to enter after 5:30 pm, so try to go as early as possible in the afternoon.
