How to solve the problem of tourism development for the elderly?

With the changing population structure in China, China has gradually stepped into an aging society. According to the results of the fourth national sampling survey on the living conditions of the elderly in urban and rural areas, the per capita consumption expenditure of the elderly in China is 20 14764 yuan, and the consumption structure has initially changed from survival type to cultural leisure type. Tourism has become a new choice of leisure life for the elderly.

The elderly tourism in China has developed rapidly, and has occupied a large share of the tourism market. However, there are also some problems in the development of elderly tourism, which have become the bottleneck restricting the development of elderly tourism. The corresponding technical guidelines are still blank, lacking relevant unified standards to regulate market operation, and there are a large number of complaints about elderly tourism.

It is understood that 10 National Standards Committee released the national standard of "Elderly Tourism Service Scenic Spot" on February 29th, as the first national standard in the field of elderly tourism service, which will fill the gaps in the normative technical documents of scenic spot service across fields and the protection of the rights and interests of elderly consumers.

The relevant person in charge of the National Standards Committee said that this standard was condensed on the basis of comprehensive consideration of China's social and economic development and the influencing factors of service quality preference for the elderly, combined with the theory and practice of service quality management for the elderly in scenic spots. The promulgation, implementation and popularization of this standard will help to improve the safety, civilization and convenience of the elderly tourism service in scenic spots, thus improving the satisfaction of elderly tourists and providing technical support for the promotion of economic benefits and standardized development of scenic spots.
