Travel guide to Xinchang ancient town in Chengdu

Xinchang ancient town in Chengdu is a characteristic town full of Bashu cultural elements. Here, you can feel the tremor from the depths of your soul. Everyone will get a good visit experience and feel the core and spirit of ancient culture. Here, I would like to share with you the specific raiders guide.

Xinchang Ancient Town, located in the west of Chengdu Plain, is the earliest established town in the west of Dayi County. This is an area with mountains, hills and dams. From Chengdu, take Chengdu-Wenzhou Expressway, get off at Wang Si and Xinchang Exit, and drive for about 5 kilometers. It will take about 1 hour to get there.

Xinchang Ancient Town was founded in the Eastern Han Dynasty and rose in Jiajing period of Ming Dynasty. Qionglai in the west, Wang Si Town in the south, Chujiang Town, Huashuiwan and Xiling Snow Mountain in the north. It is one of the famous historical and cultural towns on the ancient tea-horse road, with rich and colorful folk culture and farming culture.

Xiling Snow Mountain is rich in flowing water, which flows through Touyan River, Eryan River and Sanyan River and surrounds Xinchang ancient town.

There are seven ancient streets in the ancient town, namely Xia Zheng Street, Shangzheng Street, Taiping Street, Taiping Street, Shi Xiang Street and Heba Street. There are also six alleys, namely Shuixiang, Zhangyimiao Lane, Xie Jia Lane, Shi Mao Lane, Tongshi Lane and Shangziku Lane, with two vertical and two horizontal wells. There are hundreds of thousands of square meters of existing ancient buildings, most of which were built in the Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China.

There are many large courtyards, pavilions, green tiles, wooden buildings and columns, carved beams and painted buildings, and vivid walls of banks, such as Li's former residence, clubs, inns, Yellow House, Guangdong Guild Hall, Catholic Church and Gospel Hall. Liu Chengxun's former residence and Bishan Temple.

Walking in the ancient town, the biggest feeling is that you can hear the sound of running water everywhere. Where there is water, there are bridges, including the 100-meter-long Yong 'an covered bridge, the small stone bridge less than two meters long, and the nine-hole bridge nine feet long and one foot two feet wide.

These waters are running water, and there are often streams under the eaves. The trees on both sides of the stream are deep and dense, and there are several steps and several feet of guardrails, or washing feet or vegetables, which has the charm of Jiangnan water town.

0 1, Jianghu guild hall of three-inch Jinliantang

As soon as I arrived at the entrance of Xinchang ancient town, two three-story towers with simple blue bricks came into view. The villagers in the ancient town said it was a replica of the ancient pagoda. These two towers are two small museums, namely the Three-inch Golden Lotus Pavilion and the Jianghu Club Pavilion.

There are a lot of graphic materials and objects in the Jianghu Museum. This paper introduces the origin, development and changes of Paoge organization, green gang and Hongbang (Hong Men) in the old society.

The Three-inch Golden Lotus Museum recorded the history of women's foot-binding in feudal society in China for more than 0/000 years since the Song Dynasty, and exhibited three-inch golden lotus bow shoes, shoe-making tools and other physical objects. When did the history of ancient women's foot binding begin? It has yet to be verified by history, but it has been generally recognized since the Song Dynasty.

As the saying goes, "a pair of little feet, a jar of tears", my little girl has been foot-binding since she was five or six years old. With a long piece of cloth, she broke four toes except her thumb and bent the sole of her foot to the center of her foot, forming a "golden lotus" in the shape of a bamboo shoot. The pain can be imagined. "Small, thin, sharp, curved, fragrant, soft and upright" is the highest standard of foot binding, and it is also the guarantee of a woman's married life, otherwise she will not get married. "Children's Song of Foot-binding" is sung like this: press the oil, press the bedplate, warm the sun in the slope, boil the hot water and pour the green salt. Mom helps me tie my feet.

When I was very young, my grandmother was a pair of little feet and often limped. Every time I wash my grandmother's feet, I feel scared. Thanks to the women's liberation movement, no little girl cried with her feet tied. This torture imposed on women for thousands of years has been forgotten forever.

02,3+2 Reading Club

There is also the "32 Reading Club" in Xinchang Ancient Town, which also attracts me. This is a folk library initiated by book lovers who share the pleasure of reading. All books can be read for free.

I like this sentence in the book club: share the story of the book and let more people enjoy reading.

Reading clubs often hold various reading activities and invite some famous people to come here to share reading stories with you. Public welfare classes include: youth classes, rural classes, children's classes, reading sharing classes, etc.

These three girls even took care of many children's homework after school, which was welcomed by many parents. In rural areas, with such a reading environment, I really envy Xinchang ancient town.

Originally, I only planned to visit here for one day. I stayed here for a week because of the "3 2 Reading Club" here.

Every morning, I walk around the streets with my camera and go to every corner of the ancient town. In the afternoon, take a notebook and sit in the corner of the reading club, either reading quietly or writing a few pages of travel notes to deal with the pictures taken.

"That afternoon, that weekend, as if it were yesterday, it was actually a long time ago, and time can be precipitated. It can also prove that a group of dream catchers, a place with love and ideals, are verifying that extraordinary dreams start from a group of ordinary people. "

Soak a cup of mint water, watch the tourists weaving outside the window and listen to the river gurgling. When you are tired of reading, talk to girls and help them sort out books and clean up. Discuss the fun of reading with them and share their joys and sorrows. Or invite them to put on their favorite clothes, dress up beautifully, hold umbrellas and come to the small bridge to take beautiful photos for them.

03. Former Qingyuan City

There is an antique zhaobi in front of Jiudong Bridge, with the seal script "Yuan Qing" on it.

Xinchang ancient town was founded in the Eastern Han Dynasty, and was called Qingyuan in ancient times. Because of the convenient transportation, it has been a battleground for military strategists since ancient times and a market where merchants from south to north gather. For thousands of years, the throughput of wood, tea and rice here is very large, and it is one of the important towns of the ancient tea-horse road and the southern Silk Road.

Especially in the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty, from the initial sporadic stalls and inns, it developed into a market place with many shops and prosperous markets.

At present, there are still many Ming and Qing buildings in the ancient town, and the traditional custom of going to the market is still preserved in the ancient town. Every two days, four days, seven days, 10 days, farmers and people in the nearby mountainous areas will come here with baskets on their backs. Therefore, some people call Xinchang "the market on the Southern Silk Road that lasted for thousands of years".

There used to be such a couplet to describe Qingyuan city at that time: the clear sky met the foggy mountain, and Zheng Yun, Xia Wei, was full of people; Living water comes from the source, outstanding talents are outstanding, and intelligent talents live well.

04. Liu Chengxun's former residence.

Just because Xinchang Ancient Town is rich in humanities, outstanding people and celebrities, there are many former residences of celebrities in the ancient town, including Liu Chengxun's former residence. During the Republic of China, Liu Chengxun, a warlord in Sichuan, was the governor of Sichuan Province and commander-in-chief of Sichuan Army.

The gables of Liu Chengxun's former residence are not big, only the width of a sidewalk. It enters the front yard along a narrow aisle, and you can feel the characteristics of western Sichuan folk houses everywhere. There are many wood carvings on doors, windows and beams, with rich patterns and exquisite workmanship.

There is an exhibition about the life of Liu Chengxun. After graduating from Sichuan Army armament school, I became a brigade commander, division commander and army commander step by step until I went home and lived an idle life. He died in 1944.

Although he is a great warlord in Sichuan, his former residence is still relatively simple, which can't be compared with Liu Manor in Dayi County.

05. Bishan Temple, a place of gratitude.

As a commercial center in the past, it is impossible to have a resort of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism. However, the Bishan Temple in Xinchang Ancient Town is dedicated to a real person, Li Wanchun. This Li Wanchun is not a big official, but a small magistrate in Bishan, Chongqing in the Ming Dynasty. This temple is called "Thanksgiving Temple" by people in Xinchang Ancient Town. For hundreds of years, it has become a place where new people worship gods and ancestors.

Perhaps Bishan Temple is adapted to local conditions, and the gate is very different from other places, with only one empty gate.

According to legend, Bi Peng, a businessman from Xinchang, is doing business in Bishan County, Chongqing. Li Wanchun is the magistrate of Bishan County, and Li Wanchun has done a great thing.

Li Wanchun was dismissed for his incorruptibility, punished for corruption, and threw himself into the river in a rage. After Bi Peng knew it, he returned to Xinchang Ancient Town because he was grateful for Li Wanchun's frankness and business help, and built Bishan Temple to support Li Wanchun, so that future generations could worship this blue sky forever.

This temple was rebuilt after the Wenchuan earthquake in 2008 with the strong support of the government and donations from people from all walks of life, because some buildings were damaged.

Rebuild Daxiong Hall, Guanyin Hall, Guest Hall and Buddhist Hall. Famous monks Yicheng and Wei Xian wrote a joint name respectively. Create a religious place for believers and tourists from far and near to place their faith, inherit cultural exchanges and promote economic prosperity.

06. Drink tea and play mahjong to experience a slow life.

The biggest feature of traveling to Sichuan is that there are many teahouses in the streets and alleys, and Xinchang ancient town is no exception. Almost all local residents have a cup of tea from morning till night, and tourists can drink it from morning till night. As soon as they see someone else's glass is empty, they will refill it immediately. I can't sleep as long as I drink tea, but Sichuanese actually fall asleep after drinking tea. It can be seen that drinking tea in Sichuan has become a living habit.

Most of the teahouses here are concentrated in the small river that runs through the ancient town. You can drink tea in the private room of the teahouse, in the corridor by the river, or in the open-air teahouse.

Where the river corridor is winding, you can enjoy the scenery and listen to the running water. Small round table, square table, several rattan chairs, cool chairs and even small bamboo chairs around, or in the shade, or above the tables and chairs, holding umbrellas and sitting around drinking tea, formed a dragon gate array, vividly reflecting the slow life of Xinchang ancient town.

Note that it can be placed on tea sea, tea set or purple sand, or porcelain. At present, electric kettles are basically used, and tourists boil their own water for brewing.

Most Sichuanese drink tea with this beer cup. They like strong tea. Most of the brewed cups may be related to the generous character of Sichuanese. This kind of cup has a handle, which is not hot, holds more tea and is convenient to drink. If you don't like tea, you can also drink Lycium barbarum, chrysanthemum and lemon tea. Most girls from other places prefer this kind of drink.

One side of the soil and water support one side. People in Xinchang Ancient Town prefer to drink local Sichuan tea, which is close to Qionglai, so there are more Wen Jun tea and black tea in Qionglai. Of course, there are bamboo leaves on Mount Emei, and dew and yellow teeth on the top. Yibin has a lot of Chuanhong Kung Fu.

Drinking tea is not only for the dragon gate array, but also for chess and cards entertainment. Mahjong and Pai Jiu, which can be seen everywhere on the street, are also the favorite of Sichuanese. Ordering a cup of tea while playing cards, or the restaurant staff. When they are not busy, they can't even take off their aprons, and they have already started making millions of cakes.

Granny with gray hair will also play mahjong with the little girl at the same table. She was so absorbed that she didn't even know she was in my shot.

Moreover, shirtless and slippers have become the standard for local people. In the street, in the shop, playing mahjong, time just slips away from your fingertips.

07. A pair of skillful hands weave a better life.

There are also people on the street who make their own handicrafts and embroidery, which are both workshops and facades. With the business, stop what you are doing, negotiate the price and clinch a deal. Business is gone, and I am busy with my work again.

They are not only weaving bamboo baskets, bamboo baskets, but also weaving their own lives and a beautiful life.

Silver needles are flying, colored lines are shuttling, and a peony is in bud. It can be seen that every stitch you embroider, someone hurts you; It can be seen that your peony has a lifetime, and someone is waiting for you. There are thousands of green hairs in the red hand, waiting for the sun to shine alone, waiting for the peony to dye the copper bottle.

08, bask in the world.

The most memorable thing about Xinchang ancient town is "basking". In the street, at the door, all kinds of sun, sun out of life, sun out of the world.

Unlike some commercial man-made "ancient towns" here, these kinds of "sunning" on the street are not put out to take pictures of tourists. This is the result of people who have lived here for generations in Xinchang ancient town, and it is real life.

There are their own farmland outside the town, and they have their own work and harvest day and night. When the weather is clear, t

Therefore, it also makes me reluctant to go here, as if I had a feeling of going home, a memory that my mother asked me to pick pebbles, chaff and grass seeds in the dry ears of rice when I was a child.

Dried beans, dried sweet potatoes and dried radishes are all needed in the off-season. After a few days of drying, they will become delicious food in the future.

Mossy tiles, a pair of red shoes and a basket of dried sweet potatoes came into my lens, which made people wonder what kind of family this is. Maybe the child just went to middle school and went home on holiday. His mother urged him to take off his dirty sneakers and wash them while the weather was fine, so that he could ask Lili for leave.

Whether tourists come or not, the ancient town is here and lives here. Perhaps this is where the ancient town has been passed down for thousands of years.

Walking through the busy streets and into the quiet alleys, I found the reason why I like it here: I am looking for an ancient town, not for eating, drinking and having fun, but for a feeling of home full of fireworks and childhood memories.

Granny with gray hair, lying in the warm afternoon sunshine, fiddling with her grandson's or great-grandson's toys, drying a pair of flat shoes with red tips on the steps. I greeted my grandmother and asked, "Grandma, are these your cloth shoes?" It is really beautiful. "

"I still have a lot of nice shoes and clothes. I used to make it myself, but now I can't see the stitches. The children bought it for me. I have embroidered flowers on my shoes before. "

A lazy Xiaohua Mall, my camera has reached its nose, and I am too lazy to move.

"Hey, wake up, kitten. I am tired of walking. Can you lend me your chair to have a rest? "

The little guy ignored me, meowed and dozed off again. Hum! Ignore me, and I will ignore you. Let's leave now.

09. There are stories everywhere in the ancient town.

There is an old bicycle in the street, a straw hat in the back seat, and two polished baskets beside it are empty. For thousands of years, Sichuanese have used baskets to carry life, the sun and the moon, the whole family, the future and hope. At first glance, there should be a story.

Sure enough, there are several brothers sitting in the street shop, who should be the owners of bicycles and baskets. Or just after selling local products, several brothers rest in the store, eat something and then go home; Or a few old friends, meet in a hurry, come to the store, order some dishes and have a drink with some brothers. Several brothers have blushed with drink, their trouser legs are rolled up high, and there are still some sweat stains on their backs. It is such a backbone that supports the whole family.

The warm picture appeared again: an uncle shook his cattail leaf fan, barefoot, slippers aside, legs crossed, and a puppy snuggled under a bamboo chair. Aunt probably asked uncle to go home for dinner.

The two grandmothers don't know whether to rest when they are tired or to sell endless vegetables in their own fields on the roadside. They don't shout, sell or pull things in the basket, or sit quietly on their chins.

Looking at the scene in front of me, I suddenly have an impulse to sing "Little Basket". It's not whether this little basket has ever carried a naughty boy who wet his mother's back.

We met in the street, ran out of the store before taking off our apron and started chatting up old brothers passing by. It must be saying, "I haven't seen my old sister-in-law for days." How have you been recently? Let the old sister-in-law come to the market next time and let our sisters have a good talk. "

My little brother, who had just delivered the goods on a tricycle, saw the grandmother basking in the sun in the distance and quickly got off the bus to say hello to her. Her kind face is full of smiles. She must be telling my little brother to ride slowly and pay attention to safety.

A small electric car in a red poncho stopped in front of an old house. I guess my married daughter used the weekend to go home to visit her old mother.

Delicious and delicious gifts for the elderly were brought home. The daughter is tearing down the old lady's clothes and mending them. The old lady came up to her and talked about the shortcomings of her parents, the Li family.

10, whether you will come or not, the living atmosphere of the ancient town.

There is a bamboo pole on the street holding the leg of this bug, saying it is a bug in bamboo. I don't know if someone bought this little insect for fun, for food or as a medicinal material. I couldn't understand the old lady's strong Sichuan dialect, which left me a suspense about this little insect.

A few bamboo shoots, half a basket of eggs, an old weight and some old people. Sitting on the bridge corridor of Yong 'an Bridge, all the things on the stall in front of grandma are sold out, which is estimated to be more than ten dollars. But I just can't be idle, not for anything else but for the excitement here.

Bamboo baskets, bamboo plaques, bamboo baskets and even pots are all made of bamboo. Bamboo is planted on the roadside, in front of the house and around the pond in the ancient town. These bamboo utensils are probably also made from local materials.

There are several bamboo baskets by the roadside. No business, just small-scale operation. When asked how much these baskets cost, they leaned out from behind the door and asked, big or small?

The chairs in the barber shop should be old and thick. The years are like this. Day after day, I cut off a troublesome silk and cut my black hair into white hair.

One, ten, fifteen, this basket belongs to Aunt Li Er and that pile belongs to Uncle Liu. I haven't seen anyone these days. I'll send it to her later to see if my aunt is well.

Two Lu Hua chickens were foraging in the bamboo forest, and their cooing was broken up. They are very happy.

A farm tool stall that I haven't seen for years appeared in the lens. These farm tools sheds used to be the places where my father took me the most. When sitting on my father's shoulder, my father always thought my hoe was very light. Slowly, my father's hoe became smaller and lighter. Father left, and the hoe was still hanging on the gable of his hometown, rusty.

At first glance, this uncle is a cultured man who takes care of everything. Probably retired, just reading the newspaper.

1 1. The food in the ancient town challenges your taste buds.

In Xinchang Ancient Town, if you go to road trip, you can hardly eat for a week. It's just that the rice dumplings are constantly changing patterns, including rice dumplings wrapped in leaves, bamboo leaves, red bean paste and jujube paste.

Fried tofu, I don't know how the tofu in Xinchang ancient town is made, but it can be fried so golden and soft and tastes super good.

You must try the special fat sausage. Blood clots are soft and smooth, and the intestines are oily but not greasy. Of course, remember that it's better to be spicy. Wang fished out the blood from the basin, directly cut it into small pieces with the knife in his hand, put it in a pot and "scalded" it, and it was cooked. This is a rotten sausage, but it's not too bad. You need to chew it. With chopped green onion, Bashi! Addicted!

You can also drink daughter medicated wine with red bubbles. Different herbs in it have different effects. Few people in the shop drink bottled wine and then take a glass of red wine with sauce, a plate of peanuts, a plate of edamame and a handful or two of cucumbers. Let them live together and nourish together!

12, B&B hotel

When I'm not in the street, I stay in the hotel, listening to the gurgling water outside the window during the day and listening to the frogs at night. Occasionally a few fireflies come to decorate the night sky.

Deep, lazy, lying on the cool chair in the yard, with a literary fan, flipping through the books in your hand and turning off your mobile phone, you don't have to worry about your image. You don't know anyone anyway. You can stay still all day.

You can also use a parasol, walk across a small bridge, walk through a winding cloister, and blend in with the crowd in Xinchang ancient town. The premise is that your Sichuan dialect is authentic, otherwise people will tell you Trump, and you won't hear the dialects and sayings belonging to Xinchang people.

Walk through Yong 'an covered bridge and come to the other side of the river. Many new houses are being built here, which are much more gorgeous than the old streets, but I still like the taste of the old streets.

There are smoke curling up in the old street, old people basking in the sun, and teenagers who go down to the river to touch shrimp and fight for water. It smells and feels like home here.
