Provisions on quitting the tour group in the Tourism Law

Legal analysis: the provisions of the Tourism Law mainly regulate the liquidated damages for withdrawing from the tour group contract. According to Article 65 of the Tourism Law, "If the tourist terminates the contract before the end of the tour, the package tour agency shall return the rest to the tourist after deducting the necessary expenses." The scope of "necessary expenses" stipulated in the Tourism Law mainly refers to the non-refundable expenses paid by the travel agency for the travel itinerary, including the down payment of air tickets, hotels and vehicles, and the increased expenses due to the withdrawal of the group, such as the withdrawal of the group, which leads to the failure to realize the group discount that the original number of people can enjoy, thus making the travel agency pay more expenses.
