1, ability and classification

Ability refers to the individual psychological conditions necessary for people to successfully complete an activity.

People's abilities are varied and can be classified from different angles. The classification of abilities in psychology is usually divided into general abilities and special abilities. General ability is the basic ability necessary to complete all activities. It is often called intelligence. Special ability refers to the ability in some professional activities now. Any normal person has a certain general ability and a certain special ability. The relationship between general ability and special ability in activities is dialectical unity. On the one hand, the more general abilities are developed, the more favorable conditions are created for the development of special abilities; On the other hand, while developing special abilities, general abilities are also developed. The successful completion of an activity requires both general ability and special ability, which promote each other and play a coordinating role.

2. Individual differences in ability

(1) Type differences of abilities. It is mainly the qualitative difference of ability, that is, the qualitative characteristics of analyzing the difference of ability. The same ability will show some similar characteristics in different people. Through the analysis and classification of these characteristics, various types of abilities will emerge.

(2) The difference of ability development level. Mainly the difference in the number of abilities, that is, the difference in the size of abilities. All kinds of abilities have developed to varying degrees. Psychological research shows that the intelligence distribution of the whole population is normal, that is, most people are at a normal level, and the supernormal and incompetent are in the minority, accounting for about three thousandths.

(3) The difference of ability performance in the morning and evening. This is the difference in ability development. The development speed of various abilities among individuals is different, and the ability performance is early or late. Some people's excellent abilities are shown as early as childhood, which is called early performance of ability or early wisdom.

(B) Ability and tourism behavior

In tourism consumption activities, the ability of tourists is mainly manifested in the ability to identify, select, evaluate, appreciate and make decisions on tourism products and services, which is collectively called purchasing ability. The purchasing power of tourists is individual difference. In terms of ability level, some people have high purchasing power, while others have low purchasing power; From the perspective of ability types, different people achieve the same results in completing the same tourism activities, and different people use different ability combinations; From the perspective of ability development, some people develop their purchasing power earlier, while others develop their purchasing power later. The research shows that there is a mosaic phenomenon between the nature of tourism activities and the development level of tourists' purchasing power, and each activity has a capacity threshold, which neither needs to exceed nor fall below. That is, to carry out tourism activities of a certain nature.
