In the twenty-sixth year of Kangxi's reign (1687), Huang Liangji, the prefect of Taiping, began to build the Dutou stone bank, which was paved with stone steps from bottom to top. In the Wuyin Year of Jiaqing in the Qing Dynasty (1818), they thought that the terrain of the ancient ferry was unfavorable, so they moved the ferry to outside Xiaoximen to establish a ferry. However, due to the remote location, banditry was uneasy, and the transition was sparsely populated, Yao of Xintaixie moved the ferry back to Nanjin. .

In the thirty-fourth year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty (1908), Taiping Prefecture began to build a pontoon bridge, named Lijiang Bridge. It was abandoned a few years later and was used for ferry crossing until the end of the Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China.

It was demolished at high tide and two motorized boats were reused to ferry people. In 1979, Level 101 of the North Shore Pier was built with a road width of 4.2 meters.
