The ship was built in 1994 and is a passenger ship that has been in use for more than 15 years. It has been renovated in the meantime, but it has not yet reached the mandatory scrappage period of 30 years for passenger ships. The passenger ship only has first, second and third class cabins, and the ship is equipped with GPS navigation system, satellite TV, telephone, karaoke room and other equipment and facilities. The cruise ship involved was rated as a "ministerial civilized ship" by the Ministry of Transport.
