Travel guide for Hong Kong and Macao
Macau has been the territory of China since the Qin Dynasty, and was leased by the Portuguese since the Ming Dynasty 1557. It was not until 1887 that the Portuguese government and the Qing government signed the Sino-Portuguese Reconciliation and Trade Treaty (which expired in 1928) that Macao became Portugal's "permanent residence management place" and became the first territory of European countries in East Asia. 1In the 1980s, China and Portugal jointly discussed the future of Macao, and formally signed the Sino-Portuguese Joint Declaration in 1987. According to the Declaration, Portuguese rule over Macao ended on February 20th, 1999, and Macao's sovereignty was transferred to China. Macao implements one country, two systems, and the people of Macao can enjoy the right of "a high degree of autonomy and Macao people ruling Macao". & lt 1 & gt; Sao Paulo memorial archway in Macao
The ruins of St. Paul's Cathedral (Portuguese: atilde St. Paul), commonly known as St. Paul's Cathedral or Archway, are the ruins of the front wall of the Church of Our Lady of Macau (St. Paul's Cathedral). Sao Paulo archway is one of the landmark buildings in Macao and one of the "eight scenic spots in Macao". In 2005, it became a United Nations World Cultural Heritage along with other cultural relics in the historic district of Macao.
St Paul's Hill is the front wall of Dehousse Church. It is integrated with the big battery and the former St. Paul's College between them. S & March 8th comes from Portuguese (S & ampatilde S? o Paulo), and "big" refers to the largest church, so "junior bus" refers to the "largest church". The temple was built in 1580, and burned down twice in 1595 and 160 1 year. The third construction of the church was designed by Italian Jesuit priest Spinola. The foundation stone was laid in 1602 and completed in 1635, which lasted for 33 years. It was the largest Catholic stone church in the Far East at that time. 1762, the Portuguese government ordered the confiscation of Jesuit property, and the Church of Notre Dame was converted into an officer's dormitory and barracks. 1June, 835, the church caught fire, leaving only the front wall of the church. Because the front wall of the church looks like a traditional archway in China, the locals call it "Sao Paulo Archway".
St Paul's archway is 27 meters high, 23.5 meters wide and 2.7 meters thick. The building belongs to the pretentious style, which combines the European Renaissance and the Oriental architectural style. The front wall is made of granite. Up and down 5 floors, left and right * * * can be divided into 9 grids from the third floor. There is a stone flagpole clip on the right side of the front wall (the pair on the left no longer exists), and there are 68 classes below, which does not match the position of the church. Because St. Paul's Cathedral was built on the right side of the front wall of the church, it must be distorted.

Once the center of military defense facilities, it is now a part of Macao's historical city and a tourist attraction in Macao.
Located in Yamanouchi, the center of Macau Peninsula, the battery was originally used for military purposes. At present, the center of the big battery is the Macao Museum built by 1998, and the top floor of the big battery castle is the big battery garden.
