There are ten apartment buildings in heilongjiang institute of technology. Each floor of the dormitory is equipped with public toilets, water rooms, laundry rooms and hair dryers.

No.6 and No.9 are girls' apartments: an apartment has eight bunks and six people under the bed and table. Apartment 6 is the largest apartment in the school (called Princess House) with elevator, and apartment 9 is a bunk bed for six people. Two, three, four, five, seven, eight and ten are boys' apartments: most boys' dormitories sleep six people, and apartment 10 sleeps eight people. Most of the dormitories are for six people and eight people.

When freshmen check in, they go to the first floor to get the dormitory key from their aunt. The school will prepare sheets, bedding and pillows for new students.
