Do I need a visa to go to Moscow by train?

There are two international trains from Beijing to Moscow, K3 and k 19. The former passes through Inner Mongolia, Mongolia and Russia and needs a Mongolian visa. The latter passes through northeast China and Russia and does not need a Mongolian visa. The 19 international train from Beijing to Moscow, Russia passes through Shenyang, Changchun, Harbin, Manzhouli, Houbaikal, Irkutsk and Novosibirsk. Beijing Railway Station leaves at 22:50 every Saturday and arrives in Moscow at 7: 55 on Friday. The second international train from Beijing to Moscow, Russia passes through Datong, Erlian, Zamenud, Ulaanbaatar, Irkutsk and Novosibirsk. You need a visa to go to Russia by train. There are two main routes from Beijing to Moscow. One is Beijing-Ulaanbaatar, and Mongolia-Moscow, which are relatively famous. There is also a Beijing-Manzhouli, Inner Mongolia-Ir Kuske (where Lake Baikal is located)-Moscow.

K3 also needs a Mongolian transit visa to pass through Erenhot, because the train needs to pass through Mongolia (via Ulaanbaatar) to go there; K 19 does not need a Mongolian visa to pass through Manzhouli.

This international class is not for sale on 12306. You need to go to the travel agency to buy a ticket. They should be able to help you with the relevant visa.
