What do you mean by five districts and eight counties?

Five districts and eight counties refer to Taijiang District, Cangshan District, Gulou District, Jin 'an District, Mawei District, Fuqing County, Changle County, Lianjiang County, Luoyuan County, Minqing County, Minhou County, Yongtai County and Tan peace county. Now Fuqing and Changle have been upgraded to county-level cities.

Fuzhou has five districts of Gulou, Taijiang, Cangshan, Jinan and Mawei, six counties of Minhou, Lianjiang, Luoyuan, Minqing, Yongtai and Pingtan, and two county-level cities of Fuqing and Changle, with a total area of 1 1968 square kilometers. The city has jurisdiction over 43 streets, 99 towns, 45 townships (including Mazu Township in Lianjiang County) and 2 ethnic townships. 427 community neighborhood committees and 2,393 villagers' committees.

Fuzhou, referred to as Rongcheng for short, belongs to Fujian Province and is the capital of Fujian Province. It has successively won the titles of "China Excellent Tourist City", "National Model City for Environmental Protection" and "National Historical and Cultural City".

Fuzhou, founded in 202 BC, has long been the political center of Fujian, an important city along the southeast coast of China and the headquarters of army organs in the eastern theater. Fuzhou landform belongs to a typical estuary basin, surrounded by mountains.

It belongs to subtropical maritime monsoon climate, and its famous scenic spots are Sanfangqixiang, Gushan and Wuta. Fuzhou is one of the earliest 14 coastal port cities opened to the outside world, and it is also one of the five earliest trading ports opened in modern China.
