Registration conditions

2. Registration and submission of documents

(1) Mainland citizens of the People's Republic of China and the People's Republic of China must present the original and copy of their ID card, academic certificate or relevant academic certificate, Level 2 Original health certificate issued by a first-class or above hospital for registration. Candidates who apply for the Foreign Language Tour Guide Qualification Certificate with a Chinese Tour Guide Qualification Certificate do not need to submit a health certificate. (2) Hong Kong and Macao permanent residents with Chinese citizenship must submit the following documents when registering:

1. Proof of identity: Hong Kong or Macao permanent resident identity card; Special Administrative Region passport or Hong Kong, Mainland Travel Permit (Home Return Permit) for Macao residents. The original copy will be returned after on-site inspection. Copies of the physical health certificate and other documents will be retained by the tourism administrative department that accepts the registration, and will be submitted to the Provincial Tourism Bureau along with the registration form. 3. The current five written exams will be combined into one exam, specifically:

Multiple-choice questions in each subject account for 65%, and questions and answers and case analysis account for 35%. Only candidates who pass the examination in all subjects can obtain the National Tour Guide Qualification Certificate. If the candidate fails the exam, his or her scores will no longer be retained and no make-up exam will be organized.

Those who hold the Chinese Tour Guide Qualification Certificate and apply to apply for foreign language tour guides are exempted from the four comprehensive knowledge examinations and only take the foreign language written and oral examinations. If they pass the examination, they will be awarded the National Foreign Language Tour Guide Qualification Certificate.

5. Pre-examination training
