1, Hongcun Town, formerly known as Hongcun Town and Qixia Town, is a town under the jurisdiction of yi county, Huangshan City, Anhui Province, located in the northeast of yi county. Geographical coordinates: east longitude 1 17 38', north latitude 3011',area 188.95 square kilometers.

2. On October 30th, 2000/KLOC-0, Hongcun was listed on the World Cultural Heritage List by UNESCO. It is one of the first batch of 12 historical and cultural villages in China, a national key cultural relic protection unit, a patriotic education base in Anhui Province and a national 5A scenic spot.

Hongcun is known as "the village in painting". By 20 14, the town has well preserved more than 40 Ming and Qing residential buildings14. The main attractions are: Xiao Chun in Nanhu Lake, studying in the Academy, the wind and lotus in the moon marsh, the cow intestine pond, the shadow wall of Shuangxi, the ancient trees in front of the pavilion, the sunset in Leigang and so on.

On April 20161June 0 14, Hongcun Town, yi county, Huangshan City, Anhui Province was recognized as the first batch of characteristic towns in China by the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development.

5. Hongcun Town was called Hongcun in ancient times. In the first year of Shaoxing in the Southern Song Dynasty, Wang Yanji, the ancestor of Hongcun, caught fire, and his family members went downstream from Shu Qi Village in yi county and built thirteen houses in Leigang Mountain, which was the beginning of Hongcun. Wang Yanji built Suiyang Pavilion at the entrance of the village as a landmark building. With the development of feudal economy and the prosperity of culture, Huizhou, as the birthplace of Neo-Confucianism, reached its peak. Wang's ancestors were overseas officials and businessmen, who accumulated a lot of money and wealth. For the glory of their ancestors, they bought fields and houses in their hometown and built bridges and paved the way.

From the first year of Hongxi reign of Emperor Renzong of Ming Dynasty to the 24th year of Wanli reign of Ming Shenzong, Hongcun village was laid out with the oriental soil series (Longpai Temple), the southern soil series (Populus davidiana and Ginkgo biloba), the northern soil series (Fu Lei Zhen Zi Lin) and the western soil series (Guanyin Pavilion) (feng shui barrier). Ancestral halls and temples, such as Xu Letang, Prince Temple and Justice Hall, have been built, and Hongcun has gradually formed a collection of houses with the same clan and surname, which is aggregated by blood and geographical relations.

7. From the first year of Qing Emperor Kangxi to the third year of Qing Xuantong, large academies and mansions such as Nanhu Academy, Shuren Hall, Sanlitang, Lexiantang and Chengzhitang in Hongcun were built one after another.
