In the past seven years, I have been to Shennongjia eight times. Except for the last two times, I have enjoyed the free fare discount of "Tour Hubei". The other six times, I bought tickets and went in. There are many attractions in Shennongjia, which are independent of each other. Tickets for an attraction can be purchased individually or as a package. Each time, it costs 270 yuan to buy a package of seven attractions (there will be a slight discount when buying online). Fuel costs are calculated front and back.

I spent so much money to go to the same place. On the one hand, Shennongjia is so big that if you don’t have enough holidays, you can only go there on weekends. Each visit is only valid for one and a half days, and can only be visited multiple times in different districts. On the other hand, Shennongjia is too beautiful and rich to be worth visiting again.

Shennongjia, the roof of Central China, is the only administrative division in China named after a "forest area". It is also China's first "Triple Crown" listed heritage site. The UNESCO Man and Biosphere Nature Reserve, World Geopark, and World Heritage Site are all accessible at the same time.

The protected area is large and the "Triple Crown" is destined to not be an ordinary check-in scenic spot. Tourists can visit it in a few days. If you're lucky, you might get a look. When they are unlucky, they can see nothing in the rain and fog.

Taking tourists from the Xingshan direction of Yichang as an example, the recommended route is:

D1-2 days accommodation: Honghuaping or Muyu Town Tour: Shennongtan, Tiansheng Bridge, Guanmen Mountain, Xiangxi Garden (I call this area Guanmenshan area).

These scenic spots have their own characteristics, so you can go and see them yourself. I won’t introduce them one by one.

In many articles about Shennongjia, the science popularization function of Shennongjia is always weakened or ignored. In terms of natural scenery alone, Shennongjia is attractive enough. However, Shennongjia also has a unique and complete ecological science popularization facility - the Natural History Museum Group. Therefore, for tourists with children, I recommend Guanmen Mountain.

Guanshan is rich in natural museums, including the Giant Salamander Museum, Folklore Museum, Scientific Research Museum, Biological Museum, Specimen Museum, Geological Museum, etc. There the children can have a good look. My children are particularly fascinated by the Biology Museum. They don't come out for 4 or 5 hours every time they go in (now you know the most important reason why I go to Shennongjia so many times). This started a huge interest in living things, and now, my kid won't come out. Being able to study a major that interests you and engage in a career that interests you should be the happiest thing.

Day D3 starts with accommodation: Golden Monkey Ridge, Xiaolongtan, Dalongtan, Shennongding, Shennong Valley Stay: Shennongying Campground (you can rent a tent if there is no tent) (I call this area "Shennongding" Area")

Shennongding Scenic Area and Shennongding Scenic Area are two concepts. Shennongding Scenic Area contains many scenic spots. Shennongding is the highest peak in Shennongjia. There are 2999 steps slanting into the sky to reach Shennong Peak, which is spectacular, just like the Nantian Gate of the Tiangong in the comics. This ladder is now closed, which is a pity. Of course, even if it is open, not many people can reach the top because it is too cruel. You can see the sky at a glance but can't see the monotonous steps at the end. There is no shelter, no supplies, and there is no way to reach the top. Most people cannot see anything in the tailwind and fog, and are shivering with cold. Even if there is no rain or fog, they will still be frozen and run around. Those who climbed up risked their lives.

So, the essence of climbing to the top of Shennong lies in the word "pan". There are always some people who swear never to climb to the top again, crying and asking for next time.

The Shennongding Scenic Area mainly recommends Shennong Valley. There are 2,999 steps in Shennong, and more than 8,000 steps in Shennong Valley. Some people say there are 10,000 steps. No matter which way you enter Shennong Valley, you always go from bottom to top. The wooden steps with nine twists and turns are filled with fragrance. The valley is full of exotic flowers and plants, and it takes about 5 hours to walk around. If you're not in a hurry, what's wrong with stopping in the valley and being a god for a day?

Some people say that Shennongjia tickets are too expensive. When Shennongjia is not free, the package price is 270 yuan, which includes almost all the highlights! Guanshan, Tianshengqiao and other places are already worth the price. If you take a trip to Shennong Valley, you will feel that you have made a profit. There are so many attractions behind!

Day D4 starts from Shennongying, passes through Liangfeng Cliff, Charming Creek, Slate, and Taizi Cliff, and stays in Dajiuhu Town (Pingqian Ancient Town) (this area is from Shennongding to Dajiuhu).

Don’t miss every little attraction along the way. The entrance and exit of each small attraction is on the roadside.

The scenery on the road is already beautiful, but as soon as you step into that small entrance, you step into another world, as charming and dreamy as the Wizard of Oz. The entrance and exit are not too far apart. The driver doesn't have to wait in the car. Feel free to get out of the car and walk around, take a deep breath, and exercise.

Jiuhu Scenic Area is the only scenic spot in Shennongjia that does not allow self-driving. All tourists have to transit here, and those who come from afar just rest here.

You must get up early to go to Dajiu Lake, it is so beautiful. Beautiful in the morning, beautiful in the evening. The bus fare is 55 yuan for a single day and 65 yuan for even days. You can ride back and forth at any time. The bus departs from the Dajiu Lake Visitor Center and reaches the Dajiu Lake Scenic Area in about half an hour. The small train in the scenic area will continue to move forward instead of the bus (no additional tickets are required), and tourists can get on and off freely at each station. Jiuhu is an alpine wetland. Some tourists compare Dajiu Lake with Jiuzhaigou Valley. The geology and landforms of the two are completely different and there is no comparison. A large lake is a small lake on a swamp with muddy algae on the bottom. How could you ask it to have the color of Jiuzhaigou or Yangzhuoyongcuo water surface?

I didn’t calculate the length of the Dajiu Lake Plank Road. However, all lakeside, vast meadows and wetlands are connected by boardwalks. Visitors can choose to walk or take the train. If they can't walk, they can always get on the little train to the next stop. For those with enough energy and time, walking is recommended.

Ladies can wear beautiful dresses as much as they like, or drag them all over the floor. There are only one or two hills in the big lake, which can be climbed or not. In the past, you could stay, eat and camp in Dajiu Lake. Every time I come to Shennongjia, I will stay by Dajiu Lake. On a moonlit night at Dajiu Lake, the mountains in the distance are blue-green, and the bright moon is overhead. The plank road under my feet was winding among the meadows, and I walked until midnight. The cool air condenses into white mist under the moonlight, melting the moonlight. When I woke up early the next day, the sky, mountain lines, fog belts, and meadows were all distinct from each other. When the sun separates the clouds like an upside-down waterfall, the fog belt fills the air, and the sky and the earth are shrouded in colorful fog. That scene made me firmly believe that there is paradise in the world, and it is in Dajiu Lake.

If you want to go to Enshi, you can go out from Dajiu Lake and enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way.

If it rains, don’t give up. It's very likely to rain here, and it won't rain if you go around the top of the mountain. There is an attraction next to Airport Road. Stop, it makes sense for people to build scenic spots. There are two roads in front of the airport, one is the airport line and the other is unknown. Go to the other side of the road and look down, and you will see a dreamy paradise.

1. Shennongjia is a nature reserve. There is no industry or agriculture and animal husbandry (the villagers raise a few cows and catch a few sheep, and plant some crops in front of and behind the house. Nothing counts as agriculture and animal husbandry). A big V broadcast live in Shennongjia, saying that there were too few cattle and sheep in Shennongjia, and she was disappointed. She regarded Shennongjia as the Hulunbuir Grassland.

2. There is no accommodation in the scenic area (except Shennong Camp). Generally, tourists stay in Muyu Town, Dajiuhu Town (Pingqian Ancient Town) and Hongping Town. I've lived in all of these places, but I haven't noticed the skyrocketing prices mentioned online. Hotels in the town cost more than 100 yuan, but rarely more than 200 yuan. If Muyu Town is full, you can go to Honghuaping (the location of Muyu Town on the map). We lived in Qingfeng Village, halfway up the mountain in Honghuaping, and we were very satisfied. If Hongping Town is full, you can go to nearby Wenshui Village in Taohua Valley. There are many farmhouses there with good conditions and better scenery than in the town. The standard room at the farmhouse is less than 100 yuan, and you can eat delicious farm food cooked by the boss here. All accommodation can be booked online.

3. Direction to Hongping Airport. There are hotels and apartments in Four Seasons Town on Airport Road. This hotel is new. Now it is a standard room for 200 yuan, and the facilities are very good. Short-term rental of the apartment, the two-bedroom and one-living room we used to live in. At 500 yuan per night, the apartment can accommodate 5-7 people, but there is only one bathroom, which is inconvenient for too many people. There is a washing machine and refrigerator in the apartment, and cooking can be done in the kitchen. However, there are no pots and pans, so you have to bring everything yourself.

There is a canteen in the town, and it costs 15 yuan per person to eat.

4. In the Shennongding Scenic Area, there is no place to eat or buy snacks, so you must bring your own water and dry food. You can eat it in small towns in Guanmenshan area, Dajiuhu area and Tianyan area. If you live in a farmer's house, you can have dinner at the farmer's house, sit in front of the house, eat and drink, look up at the moon, and see the mountains from beginning to end. Really enjoyable. Farm food is cheaper than restaurant food. After all, opening a restaurant in a town involves store rent and other costs, and it costs money whether it can be opened or not. Not as good as a farmhouse. If you put a handful of green vegetables and a plate of sweet potato starch into a hot pot, the green vegetables are free. Just make an agreement with them first, and the money for disinfecting the rice and tableware will be waived.

5. When there was no free ticket policy in the past, the package was valid for 5 days, which means that you can enter and exit the scenic spot multiple times within 5 days. Now, it's free and by reservation only at one attraction. It is available within 5 days after reservation, but it will be canceled after one use. If you want to go in again, you must make another appointment.

6. Hubei Daily and WeChat official account to book attraction tickets, the voice of Hubei culture and tourism. Tickets for Shennongjia are often "full". It doesn't matter. Brush it a few times or make another appointment the next day. You can make an appointment any day. You won’t care if you arrive early after swiping the code at the scenic spot.
