Beijing Mentougou Lingshan Scenic Area is temporarily closed

The Lingshan Scenic Area in Mentougou, Beijing, is very well-known. A large number of local citizens and foreign tourists flock to the scenic spot every day. However, with the passage of time and people's weak awareness of environmental protection, the ecosystem and green plants in Lingshan Scenic Area have been damaged to a certain extent. Therefore, the official recently announced that some tourism activities will be suspended on May 14.

Public:

Lingshan is located in the northwest of Mentougou District, Beijing. Its main peak is 2,303 meters above sea level, making it the highest peak in Beijing. At present, the vegetation in Lingshan is being destroyed by humans, and the ecological environment is deteriorating day by day. In order to comprehensively restore and protect the Lingshan ecosystem, create green waters and green mountains, and promote the construction of ecological conservation areas, in accordance with the "Environmental Protection Law of the People's Republic of China", the "Regulations of the People's Republic of China on Nature Reserves" and other relevant laws regulations, it was decided to implement protection and management of Lingshan. The relevant matters are now announced as follows:

1. Lingshan Scenic Area is temporarily closed to the public and all tourism activities are suspended.

2. All public vehicles and tourists are prohibited from entering the Lingshan Scenic Area without permission.

3. All social units and travel agencies are prohibited from organizing groups to visit scenic spots.

4. Villagers around Lingshan are prohibited from grazing, riding horses, soliciting tourists, picking and other man-made sabotage activities.

5. Those who refuse to listen to advice, violate the provisions of this "Announcement", and damage the ecological environment of Lingshan will be dealt with in accordance with the law.
