How to travel comfortably in Beijing with old people and children? -The third day

Day 3: The Great Wall

1. Opening hours: 07:00- 18:00.

2. Route: Take bus No.877 or No.919 to Deshengmen, swipe your card in 6 yuan one way, buy a ticket 12 yuan 877, and go straight. When the bus is full, you can go directly from the starting point to the end point, take the expressway, and you will arrive in an hour without traffic jams. Take the subway (like Line 2) to Jishuitan Station and exit B. On the way out, there will be some road signs to guide you to the place where you can take the bus.

The earliest time for 877 to return to Deshengmen from Badaling is 1 1:00 and the latest time is 16:30. There will be a "guide" on the bus to explain some matters needing attention for you, such as where to get a ride, several time points for getting a ride, etc. But it should be noted that many tour guides will exaggerate the difficulty of climbing the Great Wall on foot and guide you to buy a pulley. However, it is really not recommended to buy a roller coaster ticket unless you are unwell, or the old people are inconvenient to walk/children are inconvenient to walk.

Sharon's father (60) and nephew (4) climbed up by themselves. If they feel tired on the way, they sit down and have a rest. In this way, it takes less than three hours to go back and forth from the starting point to the eighth floor of the North (the highest beacon tower of the Great Wall) plus time for rest and taking pictures. Moreover, the pulley runs from the starting point to the 4th floor in the north, that is, it needs to climb from the 4th floor in the north, but the north 1-2 in front is very flat and short, and the 3rd floor in the north starts to have a steep slope, but it's ok. It only takes 10-20 minutes to walk during this time. It's really difficult to start from the fourth floor in the north, so I personally think it's really lame to ride the pulley ... and the tour guide will say that it takes a long way to climb the Great Wall on foot to get the ticket, and it takes more than half a hill to get to the starting point. Actually, just get off and go straight, and then turn a small corner. This journey takes about 10- 15 minutes. But since I chose to climb the Great Wall, I think the hiking experience will be better. The above are some stories about the 877 bus, let's continue ~

3. Tickets: 35/ person students and senior citizens: 25/ person cable car tickets: one-way 80/ person round trip 100/ person.

4. You can't bring a lighter. It is recommended to bring some warm water and snacks, or fruit snacks. After all, it is an activity that consumes physical strength and takes a long time. Of course, there will be food under the Great Wall, but the price is only ~ ~ ~ In addition, there is a bathroom on the Great Wall, but it is a long way to go, so before climbing the Great Wall, it is of course recommended to go to the bathroom before starting. You can drink some water on the way, but drinking too much is not recommended.

Going to the Great Wall this season is actually not very cold, and it may even feel a little hot (if we put on more clothes). We took off our down jackets at that time. But but but but but ... it's cold at the foot of the Great Wall, which makes people tremble. This is where you get off. There is still a long way to go. I don't know why, but it is cold. Probably because there is no sun and the wind is strong.

If you are not too tired after climbing the eighth floor, you can reach the twelfth floor by walking directly to the four towers behind, because there are fewer people behind and the walls are steeper, so you need to take risks and don't have to consider returning. When you reach the 12 building in the north, go back a short distance and you will see the downhill slope on the left. The whole journey of the North Great Wall takes about 3 hours. Of course, if you are taking the elderly and children, it is not recommended. Climbing to the north eighth floor, one experience is almost enough.

If you go in the morning, you can come down at noon, and it takes about half a day to climb the Great Wall. It's still early. Where can I choose to go?

First of all, there is a bear park nearby, and the ticket seems to be around 40 yuan. Because Sharon didn't go, so I don't know if it's fun or not ~ you can search other raiders yourself.

Secondly, there is a through train from Badaling to the Ming Tombs. Emmm~ for this, I just want to say, let's spend our time in other scenic spots. From Badaling to the Ming Tombs, the bus gets off at Dingling, with a ticket of 40 and a joint ticket 120 (including Dingling, Changling and Shinto). The whole journey takes about 80 minutes by car. Woke up in the car and found it hadn't arrived yet. Because Sharon arrived in Dingling at that time, it was already past 3 pm, so she didn't buy a connecting ticket. Finally, he felt lucky: fortunately, he didn't buy a connecting ticket. Dingling is an underground mausoleum. As for scenic spots ... for an uneducated person, I really don't know what to see, and there seems to be nothing to see. I walked around for half an hour and left. So I think I personally don't recommend coming here if there is no reason why I want to or have to go. Of course, if Zhaoling is open, I think we can still visit it. It is said to be a wax museum, but it seemed to be under maintenance when we went there.

Finally, you can get a ride back to Beijing. There are also some scenic spots near Deshengmen, such as Houhai Snack Street, Gongwangfu or Yonghe Palace. I'm confused ... the guide of 877 will tell you the routes of these scenic spots when you get on the bus, so you can listen to them a little. In this way, the third day is over ~ for free travellers, there is still plenty of time.

Climbing the Great Wall is really tiring. I suggest going back to rest early.
