Where is Motan Village?

Motan Village is located on the east bank of Qinhe River at the western end of Nanling Township, across the river from Ximotan Village in Yangcheng County, and 12km away from the township government station. Total area 1.47 km2, cultivated land 146 mu, 47 households, 156 people and 2 villagers' groups. According to legend, residents of Motan Village moved in from Ji Village in Ming Dynasty and lived in the deep mountains and valleys for generations. After the reform and opening up, relying on the convenience of Houyue Line, Qinshui River was used to develop tourism resources, providing all-round services of food, housing and transportation, and welcoming groups of tourists from the Central Plains. The township government has built two small hydropower stations here.

Motan Village, Wucheng Village, Loudaodi Village, Songquan Village, Huangshadi Village, Lihe Village, Chenhe Village, Baibei Village, Anling Village, Dongfeng Village, Honghuadi Village, Duanhe Village, Gewan Village, Pei Village, Xiaodonggou Village, Dongling Village, Yuangou Village, Getapo Village, Beiling Village and Duan Yu Village.

There are qinglian temple, Jueshan, Shanliquan, Baimasi Forest Park, Jingde Temple and other tourist attractions in Du Gao near Motan Village. There are also special foods such as Bagong green onions, Zezhou red hawthorn, oat noodles, Bagong roasted green onions and Zezhou hawthorn red wine.
