What is the most interesting place in Du Nan?
Guandi Temple in Du Nan Town, Cenxi City was built in the 9th year of Qing Daoguang (1829). It is a lattice structure with glazed tile roof and blue bricks, which consists of front hall, patio, left and right wings and back hall. It is the largest Guandi Temple in Wuzhou, and this Guandi Temple connected by three halls is rare in Guangxi.
Guandi Temple has been built for more than 100 years. The incense is flourishing and pilgrims worship a lot. Every year on May 13 of the lunar calendar, during Guandi's birthday, there are tens of thousands of believers, forming a local temple fair.
On June 8th, 2006 (Guandi's birthday on May13rd of the lunar calendar), we went to the annual Guandi Temple Fair and witnessed the scene of "going up the knife mountain and going down the fire".
