Where is Handan?

Handan is a national historical and cultural city. Located at the southern tip of Hebei Province, at the eastern foot of Taihang Mountain, at the junction of Shanxi, Hebei, Shandong and Henan provinces. It is adjacent to Liaocheng in Shandong in the east, Anyang in Henan in the south, Changzhi in Shanxi in the west and Xingtai in the north. The maximum longitudinal distance from north to south 104 km, and the maximum lateral distance from east to west 180 km. Total area 12062 km2. The vast majority of residents are Han nationality, and there are Hui, Manchu, Mongolian, North Korea, Buyi, Miao and Zhuang ethnic minorities. The main rivers in the territory are Zhanghe River in South Canal system and Fuyang River in Ziya River system and their tributaries, such as Wuming River, Jianhe River, Hezhu River, Qinhe River, Songyuan River, Nanmianming River and Beimianming River. Handan has a long history and rich cultural and historical resources. There are more than 500 places of interest in the city, including 8 national key cultural relics protection units and 75 provincial cultural relics protection units. First, the site of magnetic mountain culture, an important representative of the early Neolithic culture more than 7,500 years ago; Second, Zhao culture represented by Zhao Wangcheng and Cong Tai; Third, Wei Qi culture and Northern Dynasties culture, represented by the "Cao Wei Santai" in the north and south and the xiang tang Grottoes. Famous scenic spots include Chajianling, dressing building, Zhaomeichi, Jingniang Lake, Huangliangmeng Lv Xian Temple, Wagong and Heilongdong. In the past two years, Zhaoyuan Tourist Area and Huangliangmeng Cultural Tourism Development Zone have been newly built as provincial tourist resorts. More than 500 historical allusions, such as Walking in Handan, Riding and Shooting by Khufu, Returning to Zhao from the Wall, Dream of Guan Zi, Apologizing with a humble apology, and Witchcraft in Zhanghe, all took place here, and are known as the hometown of idioms. Handan City is located in the middle of North China Plain, and most of the cultivated land is located on the flat and fertile alluvial plain composed of Zhanghe River, Fuyang River and South Yellow River, so the agricultural production conditions are unique.
