Introduction to Huping Mountain

Huping Mountain is located in the northwest of Shimen County, Hunan Province. It is the boundary mountain between Hunan and Hubei provinces. The altitude is generally more than 2,000 meters, and the main peak is 2,098.7 meters high. It is called the roof of Hunan. The top of Huping Mountain is high on all sides and low in the middle, shaped like the mouth of a pot, so it is named Huping Mountain. Hupingshan Tourist Area is one of the world's 200 key ecological areas, a national nature reserve, and a provincial ecotourism demonstration area. It is known as the natural labyrinth on the "Earth's Strange Circle" (30 degrees north latitude) and the "Noah's Ark" on the Eastern Hemisphere.
