Haicheng is located at the connection point between the Liaodong Peninsula and the inland, bordering the border town of Dandong to the east and the port city to the south. Yingkou and Dalian are adjacent to the oil city Panjin to the west, and to the north are the steel capital Anshan and the provincial capital Shenyang. Haicheng is located in the south of Liaoning Province, on the left bank of the lower reaches of the Liaohe River, and at the northern end of the Liaodong Peninsula. The landform of Haicheng City is complex. Haicheng City has mountains, hills, plains, and depressions.
