I just returned to Chengdu yesterday from a trip to Qionglai Tiantai Mountain and Pinngle Ancient Town. Suggestions for traveling to LZ below:

1. Pingle Ancient Town:

Transportation: Take the Wenqiong Expressway from Wenjiang Bus Station to Qionglai Bus Station (the entire expressway from Chengdu to Qionglai is 20 yuan/person) , Wenjiang doesn’t know, it should be less). From Qionglai Bus Station, take the Chang'an minibus with the words "Pingle" and "Jiaguan" on it to Pingle Ancient Town (4.5 yuan/person). It is recommended to live on Daqiao Street in the ancient town. It is at Daqiaotou in the center of the ancient town. It has convenient transportation and is safe at night (there are many farmhouses across the river, but it is dark at night and there are no street lights, so it is not safe to go back to the inn). On the right side of the street is Pingsha Luoyan Beer Plaza and bar area. On the left is the blacksmith shop and the elopement dock. There are Darongshu Inn and Daqiao Street Inn (No. 52, Daqiao Street). It was not a weekend when I went there. Accommodation was 60 yuan/room. On weekends, it was about 80 yuan/room. You have to negotiate.

For food, we highly recommend the "Shuanggu Restaurant" next to the ancient blacksmith shop in Daqiaotou. It was the first self-employed restaurant in the town opened in 1979. The cold and spicy chicken nuggets prepared by the old mother are so delicious. It is a must-eat item every time I go to Pingle.

For fun, because it is not summer and you cannot play in the water, I recommend you to go to Luhaizhugou to see the ruins of the papermaking workshop of the Han Dynasty, and the "Wangjiada" in the "Tiangong Yingwu Garden" on the edge of the town. "Yuan" (ask the locals, it's less than 1 kilometer away from the town and can be walked). The old house in the Republic of China is gorgeous. The ticket is 10 yuan. Li Boqing's recent Sanda storytelling was recorded live there.

2. Tiantai Mountain:

There is no direct bus from Pingle Ancient Town to Tiantai Mountain, but it is not recommended to return to Qionglai to take a bus, as it is quite circuitous. Intercept the "Qionglai-Jiaguan" passing van at the entrance of Pingle Ancient Town. It goes every few minutes and costs 4.5 yuan/person. Take the bus to Jiaguan Town and transfer to the direct van to Tiantai Mountain (10 yuan/person) to arrive at Tiantai Mountain. center.

Buy tickets at the visitor center (50 yuan/person, peak season before November, 20 yuan/person after November). After buying the ticket, take the electric sightseeing car up the mountain (8 yuan to the mountain gate, 23 yuan to the Zhengtiantai). You have two options. If you are short on time, just take the bus to Zhengtiantai to stay, and then walk down to visit the attractions the next day. If you have a long time, you can go to the mountain gate like me, and then hike up to the main rooftop (it takes 1 day to slowly play). The scenery will be much better than the road.

There are accommodations along the way up the mountain. You can stay in Zhengtiantai or Xiaomofang. The standard room in Xiaomofang Hotel is 60 yuan per day. There are also many farmhouses in Le'an and Yixiantian, priced at 50 yuan. /day, it’s not the peak season now, so bargain more.

It is not summer now, so it is not necessary to enter the water-themed Shibali Herb Valley and Xiushui Sandie, but you can go in to see the natural scenery if you have time (ticket 10 yuan).

The recommended place to hike is the Xiaojiuzhai Scenic Group. Hike upstream along the stream. There are many wooden trestles, sea of ??flowers and stones, and flower and stone forests. In addition, the scenery of Xiangshuitan Waterfall and Feihong Waterfall is also very beautiful.

I spent 1 day in Pingle and 2 days in Tiantai Mountain. The cost per person was less than 400 yuan, which was very affordable.
