There are a number of resorts in Changping, Pinggu, Huairou, Miyun, Yanqing and other mountainous areas in Beijing, as well as the plain and shallow mountainous areas outside the Sixth Ring Road in the northwest. They give full play to the advantages of beautiful environment, fresh air, vast green space and convenient transportation, and vigorously develop ecological agricultural products. Eight new formats of rural tourism.

According to the reality of local rural tourism development, Beijing Tourism Bureau summarized and launched eight new rural tourism formats: rural hotel, international post station, picking hedge garden, ecological fishing village, leisure farm, landscape family, health mountain bar and Guofeng garden. Rural hotels in Changping District can be divided into hot spring convalescence, special catering, experience farming, catering conference, picking leisure, pastoral style, expanding mountaineering, characteristic style architecture and so on. The key international post stations in Chaoyang District take families (households) as the basic tourist reception units, forming a certain scale business entity. The groups it receives are mainly international tourists. Foreign tourists can experience the daily production and life process of local people, participate in traditional festivals and other special activities in China, participate in people's daily leisure and entertainment activities, and enjoy the natural and cultural landscape with unique China or local characteristics. According to reports, the new picking hedge garden and Miyun natural ecological fishing village in Daxing District are all worth visiting. Besides, the well-developed leisure farms in Beijing include Heyang Leisure Farm in Tongzhou District, Tiandi and Manor in Tongzhou District, Zhongke Zaion Leisure Farm in Changping District and Yiqingyuan Leisure Farm in Yanqing County.
