Menglun Botanical Garden

Xishuangbanna Menglun Botanical Garden, full name of Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden of China Academy of Sciences, is located in Menglun Town, Mengla County. Botanical Garden is surrounded by Soro River, a tributary of Mekong River. Botanical Garden was founded in 195s by Professor Cai, a famous botanist. The garden covers an area of 9 hectares, and there are 3 species of tropical plants at home and abroad, all of which are growing well.

Primitive Forest Park

With a total area of 25, mu, Xishuangbanna Primitive Forest Park is one of the largest comprehensive eco-tourism attractions in Xishuangbanna. The park combines the unique natural scenery and charming ethnic customs of the virgin forest.

Wild Elephant Valley Scenic Area

Xishuangbanna Wild Elephant Valley is located in Mengyang Nature Reserve in the north of Jinghong, which is located in the river valley at the junction of east and west forest areas. In this million acres of tropical rain forest, there are many kinds of plants, layers of green and tropical bamboo forests, which provide the most suitable habitat for the growth and reproduction of wild animals such as Asian elephants.
