How about tourism English major?

I am an English major at Shenyang University of Chemical Technology, and tourism English is a sub-category of my major. Our elective courses also need to take courses such as Tourism English and Architectural English.

In fact, tourism English majors, like ordinary English majors, basically learn basic English and English literature, and what is more special is independent tourism English courses.

Tourism English learning: Shenyang University of Chemical Technology belongs to Polytechnic University, so the number of English majors is relatively small, and they are all concentrated in one building. Therefore, as long as English majors are involved, everyone will basically have classes together, and I have also met many alumni of tourism English majors.

Personally speaking, tourism English major and English are essentially the same, and the learning content is similar, and many exams are taken together, with many overlapping subjects. It's just that tourism English needs passive tourism vocabulary and has special subjects to learn.

Prospect of Tourism English: I believe many people, like me, will think that tourism English is the development prospect of tour guides and international tour guides when they first hear about it. But in fact, tourism English, like ordinary English majors, most people will get a teacher qualification certificate or a translation certificate and work as an English teacher or translator.

Unless they are excellent talents, they may really be engaged in international tour guides, and most people will still choose the path chosen by ordinary English majors ~

Tourism English major sounds interesting, but in the final analysis, it is still an English major. Tourism English in ordinary schools will be more of an English teacher and an English translator in the future.
