Baiyun Mountain in Jiaxian County, Yulin City 1

Baiyun Mountain is located on the bank of the Yellow River, 5 kilometers south of Jiaxian County in northern Shaanxi Province. It is famous for its historic site Baiyun Temple and the fantastic scenery of the Yellow River Gorge below. Baiyun Temple was built in Song Dynasty, mainly in Ming and Qing Dynasties. In the forty-six years of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty, Emperor Zhu Yijun gave Baiyun Mountain an imperial edict with 4,726 volumes of Taoist scriptures. Since then, local officials and people have built a large number of buildings, created Taoist temples, and expanded and repaired them in later dynasties. Baiyun Mountain was called Shuanglong Ridge in ancient times, also known as Cragginess Ridge. Later, it was named Baiyun Mountain because of the white clouds all year round, and the temple was named Baiyun Temple because the white clouds at the mountain gate were not locked.

2. Shenmu Hongjiannao

Hongjiannao Scenic Area is located in the hinterland of Shenfu and Dongsheng coalfields in the northwest of Shenmu County. 1995 was identified as a provincial scenic spot by the provincial government. Nau in Hongjiannao is Mongolian, meaning Shui Bo and Lake. The scenic spot is triangular, with the widest point from east to west 10 km, the strongest point from north to south 12 km, and the water surface area of 67 square kilometers. It is a plateau inland lake and the largest desert freshwater lake in China. The ecological environment around Hongjiannao is good, with natural pasture and rabbit grassland, rich water plants and flocks of cattle and sheep. Sand dunes and beaches dominate the north and south sides, and the beaches are enough to form a large-scale sand-fixing windbreak belt dominated by Salix psammophila, and most of the sand dunes have been fixed.

3. Erlang Mountain in Shenmu

Erlang Mountain in Shenmu, commonly known as Xishan Mountain, also known as "Hump Mountain", is located in the west of Shenmu County, Yulin 1 km. Erlang Mountain is steep and winding. The Kuye River and Tuwei River will flow in front of the mountain, and the ancient Great Wall will pass behind the mountain. There are sand and stones in the west, fruit trees in pieces, steep stone walls in the east and standing pines and cypresses. In the 13th year of Zhengde in Ming Dynasty (15 18), Emperor Wuzong came to this mountain. His view of the mountain is like a pen, so it is called "Bijia Mountain". Later, the bachelor of arts came here and saw it like a hump, so it was often called "Hump Mountain".

4. Sparse mountains

Shushushan Cultural Tourism Scenic Area is located in Suide County, with an altitude of 893 meters, surrounded by two rivers. During the Qin Dynasty, Shang Jun was an important frontier military place to resist the Huns, so Fu Su, the first Qin Emperor, was sent to supervise the troops here and set up a residence in Shushu Mountain. Fu Su was buried here after committing suicide. During the War of Liberation, Suide garrison headquarters was located in Shushu Mountain and became a strategic center for commanding operations. There are Fu Shu's Tomb, Qin Shihuang's Mausoleum, Fu Su Hall, Han Stone Relief Museum and the former site of Suide garrison headquarters. At the foot of the mountain are the former residence of Li Zizhou and the former site of Suide prefectural committee.

5. Northern Shaanxi Folk Culture Grand View Garden

Northern Shaanxi Folk Culture Grand View Garden is located in Mugualiang Village, Shenmu County, 9 kilometers away from the county seat. Northern Shaanxi Folk Culture Grand View Garden takes northern Shaanxi folk culture as its theme, and takes the development of characteristic tourism, the display of northern Shaanxi cultural characteristics and the reflection of northern Shaanxi customs as its content. The Grand View Garden in Shenmu County has functional areas such as farming experience, cultural display in northern Shaanxi, cave hotel reception, spa fitness, outward bound training, cultural entertainment and forest leisure.
