What is tourism aesthetics?

Tourism aesthetics is a branch of aesthetics and belongs to the category of applied aesthetics: it is a subject that studies the creation, development and symbol of tourism beauty.

Expansion: Tourism beauty is another new aesthetic field after artistic beauty, natural beauty and technical beauty. The concept of "tourism beauty" was first initiated by Professor Chen Changmao, director of the Regional Cultural Development Research Center of Guizhou University, and tutor of postgraduate students in tourism aesthetics and tourism management of Guizhou University.

This theory systematically explains the creation, aesthetic object, aesthetic experience and aesthetic realm of "tourism beauty" from the aesthetic point of view, thus becoming another new field of aesthetic research after "artistic beauty", "natural beauty" and "technical beauty".
