Why is Jiulong River in Wangdu County called Jiulong?
Wangdu is the hometown of Yaomu, the land of Taotang and Sangzi. According to historical records and hundreds of genealogies, Emperor Yao * * * had ten sons and two daughters. His eldest son Jian Ming died young, and his second son Dan Zhu was the longest. Therefore, "Huai Nan Zi Tai Xun" recorded that Yao made nine men and two women shun. Legend has it that Dan Zhu likes to play, is uneasy about political affairs, and has a strong and extreme personality, which is not suitable for managing the world. Emperor Yao was in Zen position with Shun, and Danzhu refused to accept it, so he led the Sanmiao tribe in the south to fight against Shun. The two sides fought in Danpu, and Danzhu was defeated and died, and he was buried without a fixed place. After his death, his resentment turned into a bird, and he wailed day and night. Yaomu Qingdu fell in Chengyang (now the capital), and there is Yaomu Mausoleum Temple in Wangdu. Yao's mother celebrates Danzhu's heart, so she hopes her dreams and hopes for her elders, so that Danzhu can return to her hometown. The people of Wangdu took pains to send representatives to find Danzhu's body, transported it all the way back to their hometown and buried it on the east bank of Yaomu Ling. The ostrich was originally resentful of Danzhu, and also followed him back to Wangdu. Wherever his resentment went, the dry land was scorched and the seedlings withered. It is suggested that Danzhu's tomb be moved to other places to avoid its disaster. However, the people in Wangdu cherish the virtues of Yao's mother and emperor, and still build a grave and monument for Danzhu, respect him as a noble and timely sacrifice. Danzhu's eight brothers had been enfeoffed all over the country. When they heard about this, they felt grateful for their hometown elders and rushed back to Wangdu to build Lu as Danzhu's mausoleum. Dan Zhu saw that his hometown was barren by his resentment, while the people and his brothers were still sincere. He was very ashamed of his past behavior and was influenced by Yao's mother's kindness, so he recovered himself and sneaked into the ground, turning it into Longquan River in Dongguan. The other eight brothers followed suit, and were buried in Wangdu after their death, turning them into Jiangong Spring in Daxidi, Nanquan in the south of Xiaoxidi, Beiquan in the west of Xiaoxidi, Qujiaquan in the north of Qujiawan, Qingquan in the south of Qujiawan, Shenjiaquan in the west of Shenzhuang, Yongyu Spring in the south of Nanguan and Ba Longquan in the west of Longzhuang. These nine springs burst out of the ground, and if the potential is like a bead, they will form streams, and they will be gathered into a big river that can sail boats, surrounding the capital of Wangdu, making a huge soup and carrying waves eastward. Yao's mother was pregnant with the red dragon and gave birth to Yao Emperor. The son of Yao Emperor is naturally a dragon son and grandson. This river was transformed by Kowloon, so it was called "Jiulong River" by the world. As a result, the small Wangdu City is sheltered by Kowloon, full of pearls and paddy fields, and Yaomu's hometown has become a fertile place for outstanding people and rich things.
