Segovia Castle Tourist Route

Across from the station is the street leading to the city center. After walking for a while you will see the Church of San Milan. The building built of yellow limestone looks particularly solemn.

The buildings in the old city are very well preserved. There are various shops and ancient churches on both sides of the main road leading to the large water tank. A few minutes further down the street you can see the Roman Aqueduct (El Acueducto), one of the most spectacular legacies of the Roman Empire in Spain. It has a total length of 17 kilometers and consists of 166 bridge arches, which lead water from the source to the castle. No adhesives were used in the construction, relying entirely on a balance of forces to withstand gravity.
