Jiunvquan Village in Jiunuquan

In Jiunvquan Village, Laohu Town, Dongping County, there is a well-known mountain spring - Jiunvquan.

Jiu Nu Spring, also known as Longtou Spring, has a history of nearly three hundred years. However, it still maintains its original heroic appearance.

Jiu Nu Spring, from the topography point of view, is located on the middle of a hillside. This topography is very conducive to the gathering of spring water. The entire spring of Jiu Nu Spring is surrounded by a wall made of large bluestones. There is a small door on this wall, about 1.2 meters wide. This small door faces west, facing the spring. People can enter and exit through this small door.

Go in through the door. There is an open space about 3 meters square. This open space is entirely made of blue stones. Walking straight in from here is the Jiu Nu Spring.

Jiu Nu Spring is about 1 meter higher than the stone surface. The spring body is a faucet carved from a large piece of bluestone. Take a closer look at the dragon's head. It has its mouth wide open and is glaring angrily into the distance. That shelf looks really alive. There are various patterns carved around the faucet, which are also very detailed. From here, you can see the exquisiteness of the carving art. Look at the "gurgling" water, which gushes out from the dragon's open mouth. Needless to say, this is how Longtouquan got its name.

The water from the mouth of the leading spring flows into the square pool under the leading head, then flows out from the secret passage in the pool under the stone slabs, and finally enters the large pond in the west of the village.

There are several large locust trees planted around Longtou Spring. They are towering and full of vitality. There are many strange rocks with dangerous peaks around the spring. The colorful flowers and plants among the strange rocks, with bees and butterflies passing between them, add a bit of vitality to the faucet spring. As the saying goes: "Mountains cannot survive without water, and mountains cannot survive without water." Such mountains surround such water, and such water surrounds such mountains. The mountains and rivers are lined with green trees, which is very attractive. Being in it is like entering a poetic picture, giving people unlimited reverie.

Jiu Nu Spring flows continuously every day, and the spring water is trickling, clear and bright. It is said that the water quality of Jiu Nu Spring is particularly good: clear, sweet, and delicate in taste. I heard from the local elders that drinking the water from Jiu Nu Spring will improve your eyesight, refresh your mind and prolong your life.

Now, in addition to drinking water, people in the village have also built a sweet potato starch processing factory using the water from Jiunu Spring. The factory is doing very well. The people in the village also lived a good life.

According to legend, in the past, it was very difficult for villagers to get water and they had to go more than ten miles away to get it. The people are miserable. As time went by, this matter alarmed the Jade Emperor, and he sent nine fairies to inspect the matter and solve the problem. The nine fairies came to the human world immediately. When they saw the scene of people helping the old and the young to carry water, they were all moved. They immediately decided to dig a sweet spring for the villagers. So they pulled out the golden hairpin and pointed it to the mountainside, where thousands of golden lights flashed. Then, a mountain spring appeared in front of them, and clear spring water gushes out...

From then on, the villagers had water to eat and no longer had to go so far to fetch water. The local people have not forgotten the gifts of the fairies. In order to commemorate them, this spring was called Jiu Nu Spring.
