Introduction to the Opening Time of Chengdu Panda Base Extension Area in 2022

Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Development Zone will be unveiled on June 5438+1 October1. Chengdu's small partner, Chengdu Giant Panda Research Base, must have been there many times. Therefore, in this expansion area, you can visit your new home, and you can also enjoy the "dining" experience with the giant panda in the Panda Panorama Restaurant.

How big is the expansion area?

The expansion area of Chengdu Panda Base is 2,535 mu, which is located in the northwest of the original panda base. After the expansion, the total area of Chengdu Panda Base will reach 3,570 mu. Compared with the original panda base, the total area has expanded by 2.5 times.

According to the living habits and scientific research needs of the giant panda, it is divided into five theme plates: "Adventure Valley, Infinite Mountain, Hero Farm, Adventure Forest and Scientific Research Area". Among them, there are newly-built panda houses 18, panda cub houses 1, golden monkey houses 1, and two panda houses, the companion species of giant pandas.

Open park

Before the opening of the park, Chengdu Panda Base will open two areas, "Infinite Mountain" and "Adventure Valley" to the public, including * * *1/panda visiting venues, a number of popular science venues, tourist pedestrian streets and other places.

Among them, "Infinite Hill" will include four giant panda venues and one little panda venue: Sunrise Pavilion, Sunlight Pavilion, Yunri Pavilion, Sunrise Pavilion and Hill Little Panda Pavilion.

Adventure Valley includes seven giant panda shelters, namely Shanyue Pavilion, Yueyun Pavilion, Qiuyue Pavilion, Wangyue Pavilion, Yueming Pavilion, Jiangyue Pavilion and Lanyue Pavilion.

200 giant pandas can live in the future.

This time, 43 giant pandas and 10 little pandas will live in the "new home" in the expansion area. After the expansion project is finally completed, Chengdu Research Base in the Giant Panda Expansion Area will add more than 130 living units, which can accommodate about 200 giant pandas.

Attractions tickets

(1) During the trial operation, the ticket price of Chengdu Panda Base will be temporarily implemented at the original price (55 yuan/person).

(3) Visitors who really need to buy tickets on the spot should go to the ticket window of Nandamen (Old District Gate) or Xidamen (Extended District Gate), show their ID cards and Sichuan Tianfu Health Code, and buy tickets for the same day.

Current limiting measures

During the trial operation, the park will operate in sightseeing bus area, and the new and old sightseeing bus areas will purchase tickets separately. As the ticketing system is under construction, only on-site ticket purchase is supported in the early stage. The operation route of the sightseeing bus consists of two routes, a from the south gate to Panda Tower Station (old area) and b from the west gate to Panda Tower Station (new area). You need to change trains at Panda Tower Station to cross the old and new areas. Due to the limited transportation capacity, only some sightseeing bus stops were opened during the trial operation, which could not fully meet the needs of tourists. Visitors are advised to explore on foot as much as possible.

Tourism route recommendation

Take Metro Line 3 to Exit B of the Military General Hospital (Panda Base);

Walk 200 meters to the connecting station at the west entrance of the extension area of Panda Base;

Take the bus ferry from 2 yuan to visit the extension area of Panda Base.
