What should I pay attention to when entering Canada?

1. Complete the "Temporary Resident Visit Visa Application Form" (IMM5257). Each applicant and each accompanying child must complete and sign their respective application forms. Accompanying children aged 18 and above must complete and sign their own application forms. Application forms for those under 18 must be signed by their parent or guardian.

2. The applicant and each accompanying family member aged 18 or above must complete the "Family Information Form" (IMM 5645) in Chinese, English or Chinese and French.

3. If applicable, the applicant and each accompanying family member aged 18 or above must complete the "Education and Employment Details Form" in Chinese, English or Chinese and French.

4. The applicant and each accompanying family member must submit two identical color or black-and-white photos taken within the last six months, with a pure white or light-colored background. The photo frame size is 35mm x 45mm. The person's name and date of birth (day/month/year) are written in pinyin on the back of each photo.

5. Valid passports of the applicant and each accompanying family member. Each passport must contain at least one blank page except the last page, and the passport must be valid for at least six months before travel.

6. A copy of the applicant’s Chinese ID card (front and back).

7. Two sticky stickers with the applicant’s current address written in Chinese (no envelope required).

8. If someone else handles the visa application on your behalf, you must fill in the "Agent Information Form" (IMM 5476E).

9.Applicants under the age of 18 must have a "Parental Consent Letter" issued by their unaccompanied parent/parents agreeing to their travel. This letter should include information such as the applicant's travel date and his/her parents' contact information.

1. Chinese citizens holding any type of passport to enter or transit Canada must apply for a visa (except Hong Kong SAR passport holders) .
