People who hold passports of the People's Republic of China and travel to a third country from overseas via Hong Kong can stay in Hong Kong for 7 days with valid passports and joint air tickets, and no entry permit is required. However, if the destination is Chinese mainland or Macau, you don't need to show your joint ticket.
