The legend of Fuyan Mountain

The name Fuyan Mountain comes from the rising clouds and mist, which are lingering and suspended on, in, and on the slopes of the mountains. Therefore, it is famous as Yanshan Mountain. A long time ago, the underground water veins in Fuyan Mountain were very sufficient, which caused rising mist and shrouded clouds (the higher the mountain, the higher the water). It was once a geomantic treasure, and its hillside was also a place extremely suitable for human habitation and the proliferation of other life forms. There is a foot terrace (called Tiantai and Yaowang Terrace in ancient times) under the east slope of Fuyan Mountain. Emperor Yao, one of the "Three Emperors and Five Emperors", once visited or lived here. At the same time as the Yellow Emperor, there were the Yandi tribe and the Jiuli tribe headed by Chiyou, as well as the Miao tribe headed by Sanmiao and others in the Jianghuai River Basin. The Yandi tribe originated in northern Shaanxi. The Yellow Emperor Yandi and Chiyou traveled eastward along the Weishui River and the Yellow River to reach today's Shandong area after the Battle of Zhulu in the Central Plains. Emperor Yan's surname was Jiang, and his ancestors were Shennong, who was probably the first nation to engage in agriculture. Legend has it that Emperor Yan had the head of an ox and had a human body, probably with an ox as a totem. The Jiuli people live in the area from Shandong to central Anhui, and were known as "Dongyi" in history. This can prove that our ancestors have been here in ancient times. Yaowang Mountain in the southeast of Qingzhou; Yaowang Town; Yaowang Valley in the south of Changle, etc. also confirm the relationship between Emperor Yao and "Yaowang Terrace" Testability. What is more worthy of study is that the King Yao Tower is associated with the Shunwang Tower due south and the Yuwang Tower due north. (Also known as Tiantai, Ditai, Water Platform)

Yao Wangtai (Tiantai) - now called Lutai, it was earlier called Lutai Academy (east of Fuyan Mountain). Later, Mencius gave lectures and Gongsun Hongzhi Xue (prime minister in the era of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty Liu Che) Murong Chao, the prince of Nanyan, also studied here. In order to hope that Mencius would arrive soon and retain Mencius to teach here for a long time, the village east of Lutai was renamed Wangliu Village, now Wangliu Town, hoping to retain Mencius.

Shunwang Terrace (Taiwan) - now known as Gongye Chang (Gongye Chang is the son-in-law of Confucius) Academy: located 35 kilometers southwest of Anqiu, surrounded by mountains on the northeast and west sides, with trees It is lush and has a pleasant climate. It is unparalleled in this place and is rarely seen. The two existing ginkgo trees that Confucius gave his son-in-law can prove it. People after Hehutai lived around the platform and have been thriving for four thousand years. The huts and earthen houses surround Yuwangtai in the center. Gradually a village was formed, named Yuwangtai Village. (15 kilometers north of Gaoli Town, Weixian County) Yuwangtai is 22.47 meters above sea level, with a bottom diameter of about 75 meters and an area of ??about 5,000 square meters. It is said that this platform was built by Dayu when he was controlling floods, and there is a temple of King Yu on it. During the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, the Earth Temple was built next to the Yuwang Temple. In 1938, the Japanese invaders burned down the temple on Taitai, and it has not been rebuilt since then.

The north and south of Taiwan are on the same longitude line, and the latitude is 50 kilometers apart. Our ancestors 5,000 years ago had such superb technology. Fuyan Mountain in Weifang, Shandong

Fuyan Mountain is located in Wangliu Town, 12 kilometers southwest of Weicheng District, Weifang City.

You can get there by taking bus No. 19. The whole ticket price is 2 yuan.

The reason why Fuyan Mountain is called this is because its top is so high that you can almost touch the clouds and looks like it is floating in the clouds and smoke, so it was named "Fuyan Mountain". From this you can see how high it is.

There is another folk saying that Fuyan Mountain is located between the north and south mountains. A long time ago, there were kilns for burning lime in the surrounding area. After liberation, the northwest of the mountain was Weifang City. The largest cement factory, as well as a large number of smoke exhaust units such as ammonium nitrate plants, have strong northwest winds in winter, and the smoke emitted from the fifty-meter-high chimney rushes to the mountainside. When the wind is low, it is difficult to disperse, and the top of the mountain is often shrouded in smoke. , it has been named after this from ancient times to the present.

Yifushan Reservoir in Shanxi Province, with mountains and rivers complementing each other, adds a bit of beauty to Fuyan Mountain.

Fuyan Mountain is the only natural scenic spot in Weifang City and a tourist attraction in the city.

Fuyan Mountain is the tail end of the Taiyi Mountains, running southwest and northeast. It is located 12 kilometers southwest of Weicheng District, 3 kilometers long from north to south, covering an area of ??11.4 square kilometers, and an altitude of 161.5 meters. At the foot of the West Mountain is the Miaozi Reservoir, with a storage capacity of 23.95 million cubic meters, where green mountains and green waters complement each other. On the southeast side is the Weifang International Kite Festival flying ground and viewing platform, covering an area of ??12 hectares. In 1993, the Weifang Educational Television Transmission Tower was built on the top of the mountain, towering into the sky and majestic. At the eastern foot of Fuyan Mountain. The platform is about 7 meters high and covers an area of ??about 400 square meters. After sunset, the smoke and clouds are lingering, making you feel like you are in the fairyland of Yaotai. There are 17 pines and cypresses planted around the stage. After hundreds of years of wind, frost, rain and snow, their branches are twisted and upright, with colorful dragon bells. A Yuan Dynasty poetry monument stands in Tainan. It is engraved with the poem "Autumn Moon at Lutai" by Zhang Qiyan, the number one scholar of the Yuan Dynasty. The poem goes: The Milky Way ripples over Jingtian Street, and the blue moon shines brightly at Lutai. Prince Yan was reading on the stage, and the clear light still came to people.

Tainan originally had dozens of erected stone monuments in two rows, telling visitors about Lutai’s ancient past. Fuyan Mountain is located between the three political centers of Guyingqiu, Pingshou and Xiami, which are not far from each other. Therefore, Fuyan Mountain has been a treasure mountain resort for celebrities in Beihai, Shanzuo, to cultivate their moral character, read and discuss scriptures since ancient times.

The earliest record of Lutai is the stone carvings of the Tang Dynasty. "Weixian Chronicle·Old Tomb" records: "The tomb of Gongsun Hong of the Han Dynasty is now the foothills of the second district." This is also recorded in the "Wang Yihe's Bridge Building Records" of the Tang Dynasty preserved by Zhu Liudian in Changle. From this we know that before the Tang Dynasty, Lutai was designated as the tomb of Gongsun Hong of the Han Dynasty. From the soil quality of the platform, it can be seen that it was built of living soil, not a primitive earth mound. There are pottery fragments from the Warring States and Han Dynasties mixed in the soil layer, which may be the tomb of Gongsun Hong. Also related to Lutai was the emperor Murong Chao.

Murong Chao, courtesy name Zuming, was born in Xianbei. He studied in Lutai at the east foot of Fuyan Mountain when he was young. He succeeded to the throne as emperor in the Eastern Jin Dynasty and became the Supreme Emperor of the Yuan Dynasty. He became famous for a while, experienced great ups and downs, and left relics in Lutai for future generations to pay tribute to. Guo Zijia, a native of Weixian County in the Qing Dynasty, wrote in his poem: The anecdote is that the moon at Lutai once illuminated Murong Chao. Liu Yingjie built it. Liu Yingjie (1517-1591) was a native of Liujiazhuangzi Village, Weixian County in the Ming Dynasty. His home was not far from Lutai. In the 26th year of Jiajing's reign in the Ming Dynasty, he became a Jinshi. Lutai Academy, and personally lectured and rewarded the underachievers. This academy with a long history has cultivated countless famous scholars and played an important role in the prosperity of Chinese national culture.

During the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, Han Mengzhou of Weixian County, Yan Xunguan of Changle County, etc. came to Lutai to study successively, forming the Shanzuo Cultural Center. After that, more and more people came to study here, so the southern depression of Xiuzhenguan was filled up. Ten south rooms, three east rooms, two west rooms (toilets), and five lecture halls for practicing Zhenguan were built. Together with the Taoist room of Hongfu Buddhist Temple, it can accommodate more than a hundred people. The academy has also purchased dozens of acres of school land to provide for the living needs of poor students. In bad harvest years, teachers and students lived on soybeans, sweet potatoes and vine leaves harvested from the school fields.

In the 25th year of Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty, Han Mengzhou resigned from Lai'an County and returned to Wei. He also gave lectures at Lutai with Yan Xunguan, Yan Xunzhong, Yan Xueyin and Liu Yigui. Tourists come from thousands of miles away to visit it. There are many talents who live in quiet places, avoid social activities, concentrate on studying, and become famous in one fell swoop. For example, Guo Shouxun, Liu Hongao, Chen Guanjun, etc. are all outstanding figures for a while, which makes Weixian a culturally prosperous situation. Thirty-one years after the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty, the academy was abandoned and a school was established. Buildings such as the Hongfu Buddhist Temple, Xiuzhenguan and the academy were all demolished during the Republic of China, and only the ruins can be identified. There are seven springs in Fuyan Mountain. The largest spring in the southwest is called Bu Sheng Spring. The spring water is sweet and fragrant when used to cook rice and make tea. If it is decoctioned and taken as medicine, it has miraculous effects on old diseases, so it is named Bu Sheng Spring. Seven springs gather in one pond, and the water in the pond is crystal clear. There are giant willows and kudzu vines on the shore. If you look to the south, there are four springs in the sixth stream. Three of them gush out of water quietly from the sand. There is nothing strange about it. Only the fourth spring gushes out from a stone basin-shaped stone. It twists and turns among the rocks, and the sound of water gurgling is like the sound of a piano. When the strong wind blows, it stirs and vibrates, making it famous as a spring. This place is the most fascinating. The flowing water is mixed with the intermittent chirping of insects, which is particularly elegant.
