I traveled to Yunnan last year. There are many ethnic minorities there, but I feel that they are still quite simple. You are polite to them, and they are kind to you. When I was in Lijiang, the innkeeper warmly invited us to dinner. Later, I gave him money and he didn't want it, saying that knowing each other was fate. However, I think if there are any situations mentioned by the landlord when traveling in Yunnan, you must have joined a low-cost tour group or participated in a free trip yourself. In this way, the money collected by the tour agency is not enough for the fare and accommodation, and we must find ways to recover the cost from you. Last year, I traveled to Yunnan with a pure CYTS tour group. During the five-day trip, there was a lot of time on the bus, but I really didn't go to any shopping spots, and the tour guide's attitude was good. In Dali, I specially asked the driver to take us to eat authentic Dali snacks, which were cheap and delicious.

When I went to Yunnan for a five-day pure tour that year, the travel fee for one person to sign up was 1380. This fee only includes accommodation and transportation in Yunnan province, and several meals are not included. We all eat snacks by ourselves in the ancient city. At that time, I asked a little about the seven-day itinerary: Dali, Lijiang, Shangri-La, without Kunming, and said that it would be 2 100. Later, we were worried about altitude sickness and didn't go to Shangri-La. These travel expenses do not include our air tickets to Kunming. I remember we went in June, and the ticket for one person was about 2000+. The stay is not very good, but it is ok. They are all business hotels. But I didn't really go to any shopping spots during the whole trip, because when I signed a contract with them, I asked them to make it clear in the contract that they were pure play groups. If the tour guide takes me shopping, I must refund all the tour fees. So I estimate that if you take your 8-day route, this group will cost at least 4000+. We only played for 5 days, and then went to the supermarket to buy some local products to take home when we went back and forth to Kunming. The whole journey cost almost 5000 yuan for one person.
