The Shihe Bridge is the first bridge erected by the Shanhai Railway Project, and other bridges are under construction.

The "Mountain and Sea Tourism Railway" is a tourist railway that connects the mountains and the sea. It will also connect Qinhuangdao's unique natural landscapes such as mountains, seas, the Great Wall, forests, geological relics, ancient castles and villages, etc. It will even include the century-old railway in the city and the century-old port at the starting point. Planning information shows that the Shanhai Tourism Railway Project starts from Qinhuangdao Donggang Pier and ends at Banchangyu Scenic Area. The total length of the line is about 41 kilometers.

The Shihe Bridge is a control project of the Shanhai Tourist Railway. It is located near Shihe River in Funing County, Qinhuangdao City. It has a total length of 211.52 meters and is a single-line bridge with a design speed of 60 kilometers per hour. There are 12 32.6-meter-long simply supported T-beams on this bridge. The piers are up to 9.5 meters high and the beams weigh 142 tons. Therefore, two 300-ton cranes are specially used to erect it.
