Thomas Cook is the father of tourism.

On 5 July 1841 Thomas Cook chartered a train to carry up to 570 Travelers from Leicester in the Midlands to La Barfleur for the Temperance Congress and back. There is a group fee for 11 miles, one order per person. Free ham lunches and snacks are provided, followed by a psalm band.

This event occupies an important position in the history of tourism development. The event organized by Thomas Cook is recognized as the world's first commercial tourism event, so he himself became the founder of the travel agency business people. It is the first group tour organized by human beings using trains, and it is the beginning of modern tourism activities.
