Many times, people have deep reasons for doing something or even saying a word. It may be a long-cherished wish, or it may be a hidden secret... Just like the self-driving trip all the way north to Mohe that year, it was a long-cherished wish that came back halfway in 2013 and was not completed. In 2013, when I traveled through Hulunbuir for the first time, I went as far as Bailu Island in Mordaoga National Forest Park. It was only over 300 kilometers away from Mohe Arctic Village. However, due to limited vacation time, I had to return. , somewhat regrettable. Therefore, the reason why this self-driving trip was possible was partly to fulfill a long-cherished wish to complete the unfinished road when crossing Hulunbuir in 2013, and continue to cross the Greater Khingan Mountains to the North Pole of Mohe.

The second part of the Mohe self-driving trip records the light and shadow from Qigan Village to Mohe Arctic Village. This journey lasted 344 kilometers and lasted two days. The mileage of the route is as follows: Qiqian – Mangui (129 kilometers) – Arctic Village (215 kilometers).

Although the distance from Qiqian to Mangui is only 129 kilometers, it is walking through the most primitive forest in the northern part of the Daxingan Mountains. This section of the road has high mountains, deep forests, dense rivers and lakes, and few people and cars, but it has the most primitive and beautiful natural scenery.

When the car was driving not far from Mangui Town, a wooden plank road leading to the top of the mountain appeared on the hillside on the left. When I pulled over and took a look, it turned out that the boardwalk also had a name: Rapids Bay Boardwalk. Firstly, it was for a short rest, and secondly, I wanted to climb to the top of the mountain and overlook the spectacular forest sea, so I got off the car and walked up the mountain along the wooden plank road to the top of the mountain.

When you reach the top of the mountain and look back, the boundless green sea appears in front of you. The scenery of the forest sea in the Greater Khingan Mountains is vast and magnificent. Looking into the distance, my mood suddenly became lighter.

Not far from the rapids, a small lake appeared on both sides of the road. When I got closer, I saw the sign and realized that this was originally a complete lake. Later, when the road was built, the road passed through the middle of the lake and separated it into two lakes on each side. The name "Sister Lake" came from Come here.

White birch trees are reflected in it, water plants and lotus leaves are swaying in it, and there are dense forests and patches of meadows on the shore... These beautiful natural landscapes are closely related to the sister lakes deep in the Daxingan Mountains. They complement each other and complement each other, forming a beautiful picture together.

Mangui Town is affiliated to Genhe City, Hulunbuir City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. It is located on the western slope of the northern part of the Daxingan Mountains. It has an area of ????3072.81 square kilometers. It borders Tahe County and Mohe County of Heilongjiang Province in the east and northeast, and Ashan County in the south. Longshan Town faces each other across the mountains and is adjacent to Ergun City in the west.

In recent years, with the development of tourism, Mangui Town has gradually become lively. There is a mountain game market here, where you can buy wild blueberries and various seasonal fruits and vegetables. There are also many hotels and restaurants in the town. As an important post station, tourists can take a good rest and complete supplies of daily necessities here.

Mangui is a homonym for the name of "Mengkuyi River", and it is named because it is located on the south bank of the Mengkuyi River. Therefore, the entire town is also built along the river. As we continued our journey after breakfast the next day, we couldn't help but be attracted by the beautiful scenery along the river. The crystal clear Mengkuyi River flowed slowly, filled with morning mist, and filled our ears with the chirping of insects and birds... Here, it's like a fairyland.

On the way from Mangui to Mohe, light rain fell from the sky. The car drove through the rain and fog all the way, so the speed naturally slowed down a lot. Despite this, we arrived at Mohe Arctic Village at noon.

The light rain cleared up, and many tourists put on down jackets in an exaggerated way. In fact, the temperature in Arctic Village in early August is not much lower than that in Liaoning. Even after rain, a coat is enough to resist the "wind chill".

Arctic Village is close to the boundary river Heilongjiang, and faces Russia across the river. Here, everything is related to "China's northernmost", China's northernmost post office, China's northernmost outpost, China's northernmost store...

Arctic Village is It is a 5A-level scenic spot, but there are many local villagers living in the scenic spot. Therefore, in addition to hotels and hotels, there are also many B&Bs in the scenic area where you can eat and sleep, which are clean, tidy, quiet, and not expensive.

In early August, Arctic Village already had a touch of autumn, with many trees showing a slight yellow color, but overall it was still a midsummer scene.
