Introduction of Tourism College of Guangzhou University

Guangzhou University Tourism College (China-France Tourism College) is located in the beautiful Guangzhou University Town. College has two brands: Guangzhou University Tourism College is a public teaching unit of Guangzhou University, while Sino-French Tourism College was established in 20xx with the approval of Guangdong Provincial People's Government and signed a cooperation agreement with French Ministry of Education, mainly engaged in higher tourism education and exhibition education.

The college now has "three departments and two centers", namely, tourism and leisure management department, hotel management department, exhibition economy and management department, tourism research and planning center and tourism competitiveness research center. With a master's degree in tourism management and two undergraduate majors in exhibition economy and management, it is one of the universities with the largest number of undergraduate students majoring in tourism in China. Among them, exhibition and business tourism, golf and leisure management are one of the first undergraduate majors in China.

The College has a united, dedicated and energetic teaching and research team, with 56 faculty members, including 6 professors, 2/kloc-0 associate professors and 3 doctors. Six of them are studying for doctoral degrees in famous universities at home and abroad. Among the teachers, 1 was selected as the "New Century Excellent Talents Support Plan" of the Ministry of Education, 1 was selected as the provincial training object of the "Thousand Hundred Thousand Ten Projects" in Guangdong Province, and five were selected as the school-level training object of the "Thousand Hundred Ten Projects". Twenty-four teachers were sent to France, Spain and Italy for further study through the EU "Asia Project", and five teachers were sent to the United States, Japan, Germany and Britain for further study. The proportion of full-time teachers studying abroad reached 80%. The college has advanced teaching and research facilities, including a comprehensive laboratory for tourism planning, a simulation laboratory for travel agency training and entrepreneurship, a comprehensive laboratory for hotel management, and a golf simulation training room.

In the past five years, it has undertaken more than one national and provincial project 10, such as the National Natural Science Foundation, the National Social Science Fund and the Ministry of Education, and undertaken more than 30 horizontal projects entrusted by local governments, enterprises and institutions. It has strong research strength in the Pearl River Delta tourism industry upgrading and transformation, tourism industry competitiveness evaluation and other research fields. Based in Guangzhou and radiating overseas, the College has made a unique contribution to the construction of tourism discipline and the practice of serving local economic and social development, and established a distinctive image, which is a very important force in China's tourism higher education system.

The college is divided into two series: Sino-French cooperation project and domestic unified recruitment project. Sino-French project is the earliest and only intergovernmental cooperation project of tourism higher education between French Ministry of Education and China government. It has high-quality teacher resources in China and France and implements bilingual teaching in China and France. Those who pass the examination can get national diplomas issued by Guangzhou University, Angel University and Nice University in France. Among them, 25-30 outstanding graduates can go to France to study for a master's degree and enjoy the treatment of French public students without paying tuition fees, only paying registration fees. The Sino-French project is managed by the board of directors, which is composed of administrative departments, enterprises and school-running entities of the Chinese and French governments (such as Guangdong Provincial Tourism Bureau, Guangzhou Education Bureau, Guangzhou University, Guangzhou Council for the Promotion of Trade, Guangzhou Tour, Garden Hotel, Oriental Hotel, French Ministry of Education, France University of Angers, France Nice University, France Accor Group, Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry) and other 14 member units, and is responsible for personnel training specifications and specifications. The French side sends a certain number of professors and experts to teach in the college every year.

The goal of the school is to focus on undergraduate education, actively explore international cooperation in running schools and developing postgraduate education, and cultivate high-quality "professional managers" with innovative spirit and practical ability for the society. Graduates have broad market demand, high employment rate and broad development prospects.
