Dream of Pingyao, Pingyao, is a complex. Before we went, we were full of expectations. Even though we have arrived here, we only cautiously touch its branches and leaves first, and then slowly get closer.

This city was built during the reign of King Xuan of the Western Zhou Dynasty and has a history of more than 2,700 years. It was later included in the World Heritage List by the UNESCO World Heritage Committee. It is currently the only ancient county in my country that successfully applied for a world cultural heritage as an entire ancient city.

Pingyao Confucian Temple is located in the southeast corner of Pingyao County, Jinzhong City, Shanxi Province. It was first built in the early years of Zhenguan in the Tang Dynasty. Its Dacheng Hall was built in the third year of Jin Dynasty (1163). Rebuilt in 1999, it still maintains its original appearance. It is the oldest existing Confucian temple at all levels in China and the only remaining Jin Dynasty building among Chinese Confucian temples.

The building complex is connected to the city wall in the south and Chenghuang Temple Street in the north. It includes Dongxue, Xixue and the temple area in the middle. It covers a total area of ??35,811 square meters, and the temple area covers an area of ??8,649.6 square meters.

The Pingyao Confucian Temple is composed of six front and rear courtyards. The central axis has the screen wall, Lingxing Gate, Panchi, Dacheng Gate, Dacheng Hall, Minglun Hall, Jingyi Pavilion and Zunjing Pavilion from south to north. The overall layout of the Pingyao Confucian Temple shows the basic regulations of Chinese Confucian temple architecture since the Yuan and Ming Dynasties. On June 25, 2001, Pingyao Confucian Temple was announced as the fifth batch of national key cultural relics protection units by the State Council of the People's Republic of China.

The Pingyao Confucian Temple is composed of six front and rear courtyards. The central axis has the screen wall, Lingxing Gate, Panchi, Dacheng Gate, Dacheng Hall, Minglun Hall, Jingyi Pavilion and Zunjing Pavilion from south to north. The facade of Dacheng Hall is 3 rooms wide, with dressing halls and living quarters on both sides. On the two sides are the Minghuan Temple and the Xiangxian Temple. The east and west verandas in front of the Dacheng Hall are 9 rooms each wide, with four rafters in depth, hanging from the top of the mountain, front corridors, and pillars and brackets. 3 step on the single flower, and tween 1 flower.

The veranda is dedicated to the sages and Confucian scholars. There are three axillary doors on both sides of the Dacheng Hall, with a depth of four rafters, and is made of hard mountain. There are Chongsheng Temple and Jiexiao Temple in the East College.

The above buildings are all relics of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Eastern learning, Western learning and the Confucian Temple are integrated into one. The overall layout of the Pingyao Confucian Temple shows the basic regulations of Chinese Confucian temple architecture since the Yuan and Ming Dynasties.
