The difference between Gan Qing Palace and hall of mental cultivation

The difference between the Forbidden City and hall of mental cultivation lies in its location, scale and function. The specific differences are as follows:

1, hall of mental cultivation is located on the west side of Gan Qing Palace, and the building scale of Gan Qing Palace is the first in the Forbidden City. Hall of mental cultivation is a palace for emperors to rest temporarily, while Gan Qing Palace is the bedroom of fourteen emperors of Ming Dynasty and two emperors of Shunzhi and Kangxi of Qing Dynasty, and it also handles daily affairs at ordinary times.

Gan Qing Palace is a national 5A-level tourist attraction, the first of the three royal palaces (Gan Qing Palace, Jiaotai Palace and Kunning Palace) in the Forbidden City in Beijing, and the bedroom of sixteen emperors in Ming and Qing Dynasties (moved to hall of mental cultivation during Yongzheng period).

Hall of mental cultivation is located in the Palace Museum in Dongcheng District, in the west of the Forbidden City. It is about 63 meters long from north to south and 80 meters wide from east to west, covering an area of 5,000 square meters. Hall of mental cultivation was founded in Jiajing period of Ming Dynasty, and eight emperors lived here in Qing Dynasty. This temple was rebuilt during the Yongzheng period of the Qing Dynasty.
