Tell me about this trip.

Zhenjiang, formerly known as Runzhou, is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Jiangsu Province and a famous land of plenty in the south of the Yangtze River in China. From 1928 to 1949 in February, Zhenjiang was once the capital of Jiangsu Province. At the weekend, I went to Zhenjiang Museum, Xijindu Ancient Street, Meng Xi Park and Pearl Buck's former residence.

Day 1 day

Dahua noodles

Pot cover noodles, also known as Zhenjiang Daoxiao Noodles, is one of the top ten famous noodles in China. It is known as the "first noodle in the south of the Yangtze River" and is a local traditional food in Zhenjiang City, Jiangsu Province. Dahua noodle restaurant is recommended by many people on the Internet. As a foreigner who doesn't know the details, I can only try it with reference to the information of my predecessors. Probably not the first one, but also the representative of pot cover noodles.

Take the prepared ingredients and add noodles to the stove.

The noodle restaurant is in an alley, and the facade of Dahua looks like the facade of an old-fashioned cinema. Below this shed on the right is Dahua noodle restaurant. There are many people eating noodles. It was already 1 30 when I went, and I was still waiting in line to pay for noodles after dinner. The first time I ate pot cover noodles in Zhenjiang, I still felt delicious and the meat was brilliant.

Zhenjiang Museum

Zhenjiang Museum is a comprehensive museum of local history, which was founded in 1958. The original building is the former site of the British Consulate in Zhenjiang. Zhenjiang Museum faces the foot of Yuntai Mountain in the west, the mighty Yangtze River in the north and Xijindu Ancient Street in the east. Bronze bird-covered pot-the treasure of the town hall

A bronze bird-covered pot 1982 was unearthed from the Western Zhou Dynasty tomb in Dagang, Dantu, in September, with a huge shape. The lid of the pot is like a bird spreading its wings, and the pot body is decorated with square chest convex wide stripes, which are divided into cloud-like hook-and-loop stripes with four dots, and the breasts are symmetrical. Square trip strap decoration is rare in the south of the Yangtze River, and its bird-shaped cover is also ingenious and lifelike, which catches the eye of the viewer with a light and flying posture and invisibly weakens the heavy feeling of the equipment fuselage.

Bronze Phoenix Statue —— Treasure of Town Hall

The bronze phoenix statue was unearthed in 1976 Danyang Western Zhou Bronze Kiln. It is huge and heavy, and Feng Niaowen in various shapes adorns the vessel magnificently, making the whole vessel full of vitality. Rich and gorgeous ornamentation and huge vessel shapes are closer to the Central Plains style, which is precious among Wu bronzes and the most gorgeous and exquisite bronzes cast in the early Wu Dynasty.

Bronze grain was unearthed in the Eastern Zhou Tomb of Wangjiashan, Jianbi in 1985. The so-called "Cheng Xiangyu" is mainly used as a military musical instrument, combined with ju, duo and drum. At the same time, three complete sets of utensils were unearthed, ranking first in the total number of similar utensils unearthed in various places. This is a rare material for studying the evolution and development of ritual vessels in ancient wuyue, China.

The gold and silver turtles in the Tang Dynasty are the treasures of the town hall, which are bottles, wine tablets, wine flags and wine bottles of The Analects of Confucius Jade Candle.

The jar consists of upper and lower parts. The base is a silver-plated turtle, and the cylindrical jar is supported by a lotus flower on the second floor. The words "The Analects of Confucius Jade Candle" are engraved in the rectangular frame on the front. There are 50 gold-plated distiller's grains in the barrel, and the words of gold-plated distiller's grains are engraved on each distiller's grains in regular script. The first half is taken from The Analects of Confucius, and the second half is the specific content of distiller's grains. The excavation of this set of wine-making vessels in the Tang Dynasty provided valuable evidence for the study of wine culture in the Tang Dynasty in China.

Treasure of Town Pavilion —— Three-legged bronze statue of Yuanyang

A three-legged bronze statue in the shape of a mandarin duck, with a straight neck, a crown and a plump bird. The plain surface of the whole utensil has no ornamentation, and the shape of Yuanyang is realistic. This artifact was unearthed in 1982 in the Western Zhou Tomb of Mother and Child Dun, Dantu Dagang, Zhenjiang. This kind of statue with mandarin ducks is rare in southern water towns.

Xijindukou

Xijindu Ancient Street, located at the foot of Yuntai Mountain in the west of Zhenjiang, is a historical relic attached to the broken mountain plank road. Xijindu Ancient Street is about 1000 meters long. It was founded in the Six Dynasties. After the construction of Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties, it left its present scale. So from the Six Dynasties to the Qing Dynasty, the whole street can be seen everywhere. Xijin Ferry was called "Suanshan Ferry" in the Three Kingdoms, "Jinling Ferry" in the Tang Dynasty and "Xijin Ferry" after the Song Dynasty. It used to be close to the Yangtze River, and the rolling river flowed under its feet. After the Qing Dynasty, due to the siltation of the floodplain, the riverbank gradually moved northward, and the ferry then moved down to Chao 'an Temple at the foot of Yushan Mountain. At that time, Xijin Gudu is now more than 300 meters away from the bank of the Yangtze River.

On the stage, there are actors singing.

Life-saving association

Life-saving Society was founded in the 31st year of Kangxi (1693), with a history of more than 300 years. In fact, the establishment of life-saving society dates back to the Song Dynasty. zhao guan stone tower

The tower foundation of Zhaoguan Stone Pagoda is divided into two layers, which are chiseled in an elegant way. There is a lotus pedestal on the tower foundation, and the tower body is round and bottle-shaped. Further up is the Asian-shaped tower neck, and there is a compound lotus seat, and further up is the thirteen-day lotus petal seat, which has a Falun. The back of Falun is engraved with eight treasures, and the top of the tower is bottle-shaped. It is particularly worth mentioning that in the reconstruction project, two "Datura" were accidentally found in the tower room of the stone tower. On these two pieces of copper, there are nine avalokitesvara bodhisattvas and nine buddhas in Datura, and the nine buddhas also caught nine treasure-spitting rats. In Buddhism, mice guarding the vault and grasping the gatekeeper of the vault are the opportunities for money and making a fortune. These two Yuan Dynasty mandalas found in Zhaoguan Stone Pagoda are rare in China. According to Buddhism, the pagoda is the Buddha, so we go through the ticket door under the pagoda to worship the Buddha. Tibetan Buddhism prevailed in the Yuan Dynasty, and the painstaking construction of such stone pagodas across the street shows the good intentions of those in power.

This white pagoda is the only one crossing the street in China. Below is the street type, which pedestrians can use. It was a stone pagoda used by passengers to pray for peace when crossing the river at that time.

Unicycle pavement

Granite pavement with wheelmarks of wheelbarrows is the wheelmarks pressed by wheelbarrows, and it is a means of transportation used by people to transport goods to Jiangnan market for sale. This rut also confirmed the bustling scene of our ferry at that time.

With the change of time, the river here in Xijindu narrows, the river rises and the ferry is built higher and higher. From this "looking at the Millennium at a glance" window, we can see the pavement of Xijindu in different dynasties, which is layered like a thousand layers of cakes.

Daidu Pavilion

The waiting pavilion is a place where the ancients greeted them or took a break to wait for the ferry.

After the construction of the Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties, Xijindu gradually formed a block, leaving a huge building scale, and historical sites of different dynasties can be seen everywhere in the whole street.
